If you can get the front wheel off of the ground, spin the wheel and check the tire for the wobble, check the axle for looseness, and the rim to see if it is bent.

Bike has recently started to wobble at speeds around 70mph. Any ideas what it may be.

You need to check your front wheel bearing you will get a wobble from a collapsed wheel bearing,I've had it happen to me on my fireblade and since then I replace my bearings every spring when I'm about to get back on the road after winter, just see if your front wheel moves side to side even if there is slight play.
Hope this helps.

A 2000 jeep grand Cherokee limited, bad wobble I replaced tires, had them aligned and balanced replaced inner and outer tie-rod ends, track bar sway bar bushings, steering assist, ball joints .

wobble of the steering is a wheel alignment problem regardless of having an alignment done
if your vehicle has a "live"front axle ( not independent suspension) the alignment is fixed to toe in toe out settings by the manufacturer
however spring sag and pivot pin(king pin bearings)wear alters that setting
There are devices available on the market that can be fitted by accredited suspension service shops that allow the alteration of the castor and camber settings ( you have a castor wobble) so talk with these shops and get ideas of what you can do
if it has independent suspension these settings can be easily set and should be set to around 1 to 1 1/2 degrees positive with toe in set to around 1/8 ti 1/4 "
a point that most alignment shops don't mention is that the rear end has to be aligned first so that the steering wheels are in the same "track" otherwise the front alignment is a waste if time as the vehicle will tend to run sideways down the road
it is an extra cost but well wort the expense when chasing a problem
next point --if the cv or "U" joints are failing then they will tend to have hard stops when steering and this will set of steering problems
lastly , big wide tyres are hard to align because of the amount of rubber on the road and to get the comprise between correct alignment and reduced tyre wear is hard to achieve

2007 Harley Road King - Front end feels like I'm riding on grooved pavement. Already tried changing the front tire. That didn't help. Any other suggestions?

depends on the road surface, and even the under laying base material, you can try adjusting the air pressure to see if that helps, I got a different tread than my original dunlop tire came with on mine and it helped but very little and not worth the price of buying a new tire

I have a 2007 Suzuki Boulevard C90T. Maybe it's my imagination, but lately when I am riding, the bike seems to behave like I'm on grooved payment. It happens really fast, and stops as quick as it...

It could be road conditions, but check the condition of your tires for any damage or incorrect air pressure. Have you changed tire brands lately? Go over the front and rear suspension with wrenches to make sure nothing is coming loose. An improperly mounted tire on the wheel rim can cause strange things. Hope some of this helps!

My 2005 chevy silverado 1500 hd 4x4. I am experiencing a slight but annoying wobble in the front end at slow speed. The steering wheel is rock steady but the shaking can be felt through the steering wheel....

Chevy is having problems with the steering columns on these models. Feels like a jiggle in the steering wheel when you hit a bump of any kind. Cost about $75 at the dealer for a new part.

1997 Jaguar xj6 - car wants to track grooves in roadway

This could simply be your tyre width, the wider your tyres the more they want to hold onto the road, if there is a groove the wheel will want to follow it, thinner tyres would solve the problem but affect the way the car handles, it is a coomon thing and generally nothing to worry about.

Front end wobble

First thing to do is check front and rear tyre pressures. Next check for un-even wear of front tyre. Then check steering head bearings for correct tightness. Also check for bent front brake disks as one side bent can cause this. Check for worn wheel bearings also. Check engine mount rubbers as these can cause floating on bends if worn of loose. Basically check all chassis related items fully.

They didn't balance the front wheel quite correctly, and I hope to God your friend is achieving those speeds at the track and not on public roads.
