Kenmore laundry center stacked washer/dryer washer tub shakes almost violently on spin cycle.I may have changed setting during spin cycle.Tub is off balance. The appliance cabinet is balanced and on a solid floor. It was professionally installed.I have experience with opening up and looking inside.Haven't opened the cabinet yet. I have the exploded parts diagram. I see the snubber ring, seal assy, washer and transmission washer and spacer bearing block,on the diagram.I don't know what to look for first non what to do about it once I set aside a couple of days to open the machine and look inside.Help is much appreciated.

Kenmore he2 washer shakes violently

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

Washer won't drain or spin

sounds as if you have a lid lick/door switch issue, the machine is not recognizing the door being closed and for safety reasons will not enter spin/drain.. open anc\d close lid a few times slowly, cam you hear a "clicking noise" whe njust about closed?? id assume not replace teh lidswitch

Squeeling sound on spin cycle

This sounds like the same problem I had with my 887-327. It seems that coins can fall into the water pump from the bottom of the drum. I had to pull the water pump off the direct drive and turn the blades until the dimes came out. After I reinstalled the pump everything was quite again.

Kenmore washer shakes violently during spin cycle

syrny,

Not sure what you did, exactly. First, does the machine shake when spun empty...and then with water only? If so, you have probably failed to tighten something or misaligned something. Go over your work.

No shakes? Rearrange your load. You may have a pair of heavy wet jeans which is throwing the whole thing out of kilter. It only takes about a half pound of sodden clothing to do this.
