SOURCE: white smoke coming from exhaust

White smoke could indicate coolant in the combustion chamber. Not likely if you have an air-cooled bike. It could also mean that you are running in a cold climate, if the temp is around 20 or less I would call this normal.

If your bike is water cooled I would keep a close eye on your coolant level and oil level. A blown head gasket could allow water to get into the combustion chamber (causing the smoke) or mix with the oil (even worse). If you notice it using coolant I would have it checked out by a mechanic. If you want to check it yourself, do a compression check on both cylinders. If one is rather low, there is your problem.

SOURCE: exhaust pipe comes out white smoke when start bike on side stand

Continuous or just for the 5-10 seconds.
If continuous you may have oil seeping past your pistons oil rings or valve guides oil seals.
Check your spark plug see if they are fouled badly (covered heavily and oily) or just covered by oil and sooth lightly.
If 5-10 sec it is normal as the engine is heating up there are normally a little oil seeping past the seals.

SOURCE: a white smoke coming out from my exhaust. do i

could have too much oil in it. Check oil level. If this is a reaccurring problem , suspect fuel leaking from carb. into oil.

My pulsar 150,2008 model is not giving good milage. its only 30km/l. what to do ?

Smoke means the gas does not burn excellently because of 1) piston and piston ring worn out or 2) there is a damage oil seal inside the crank case thus the leaking motor oil mix with the gasoline and produces smoke when you roll the bike. Clutch plate, timing chain do not have to do with smoke belching bike for sure because these are mechanical parts not combustion.

What does white smoke coming from exhaust of a 01 'suzuki gsxr 1000 mean when starting only?

For motorcycles with 4-stroke engines: The white smoke from the exhaust means that the engine oil is leaking into the combustion chamber where the petrol burns. ... This eventually means that you have to get your piston changed along with the piston rings that prevent the engine oil leaking into the combustion chamber.

What would cause my 1999 sportster 883 to have white smoke coming from the exhaust?

sounds like it could be piston rings allowing oil to get into the pistons then burning out causing the white smoke stand behind the bike when its running and put your hand over the exhaust if there is we specs of oil on your hand or even a tissue sheet would do then afraid this is the piston rings and sadly not a job for the faint hearted mechanic hope its not best of luck

Sometimes can't put first gear on, have to roll bike forvard half a metre toget it in, also some smoke coming out of front of the bike (kawasaki zx6r ninja)

The shifting problem is a bent shift fork. It will only get worse and is expensive to fix. The smoke is probably getting past a exhaust pipe gasket. When you fix the shifting it would be a good time to rebuild the top end with new pistons and rings.
