I had a fiat punto grande 07 plate, in April this year, up until tonight it has always started 1st time, i parked the car went in the shop came out it wouldn't start, the ignition lights all come on,

Could be tires, driveshaft u-joits, engine mounts, engine miss, exhaust system, or many others. See if you can make it do this sitting still and reving engine. If not, start with tires.
I had this problem too and managed to bodge a fix. There are a bunch of cables under the passenger side dash and one of them seems to be connected to this. I used a wiring tie to reposition the offending cable and it now works again.
