What grade of gas?

One more question please. What grade of gas is recommended for me to help pass AIR CARE here in B.C. I have the 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 500 ci 4 barrel. I have heard also putting in Methol Hydrate helps? I'm lost here as some say 94 octane others say regular, any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.

A medium octane will be fine(89,92)You dont need any other octane.87 Will make it run a little crappier and make the motor spark knock.Thats not good..But yeah 89,92,93 thats all you need to run.Have a great day

So after patching the radiator on our 1991 Cadillac eldorado biattritz 4.9L we connected everything back to the radiator and accidentally stripped the radiator fitting for the lower oil cooling line

There is actually a way to PUCHASE an external transmission cooler and COMPLETELY by-pass the one you cross-threaded.

BUT...
As I stated previously... a NEW RADIATOR
is still available... The care is definitely worth the
EXTRA CARE (a collector car)... and a WORK AROUND
would NOT be cheap (nor probably reliable)

What grade oil for 2000 Cadillac Seville 130000

Cadillac recommends using a 5w-30 oil. My 2000 STS has 125k and I use Castrol full synthetic 5w-30 oil with no problems. I'm also from the old school regarding oil and filter changes. For me it's still every 3000 miles.

Why does my 2006 Cadillac CTS power engine down when I press the gas to pass other vehicles or try to excelerate?

Try shifting down to 2nd gear and see what it does. Put top grade full in it with extra cleaner. Check air intake filter and clean sensor. Has the fuel filter been changed ?
If this don't do it , check out the electric computer transmission set.

Is there any special care that has to be given to the cars during winter time in terms of its fuel and liquid?

Use a multi-grade oil- 5W30, 10W30, or 10W40-whatever the owner's manual or the manufacturer recommends. If on a high mileage car, go with the heavier grade, not 5W30. That may thin out too much for a high mileage car.
Not really any special care for wintertime, except this: to avoid condensation build up in the gas tank, a good idea to keep the gas tank as near to full as possible. If the tank is constantly low you may find water droplets in your tank from condensation.

I have a 1999 cadillac catera the heater is not heating but the fans work also the air works great

there is a actuator that opens the vent door at the heater core box that is bad, when its closed it allows cold air 2 pass when its open it allows hot air 2 pass. Its behind the radio next 2 the glove box . The actuator is very hard 2 replace but you can access it from the passenger side floor area with some work and disconnect it so you can tie the door open , otherwise your gonna need 2 take out the dash. I would recommend taking it 2 the dealer but that wont be cheap

I have just purchased a 2001 Cadillac Deville. The owners manual says to use reg. fuel and yet I see recommendations on the internet to use only premium. Who is right? Thanks

I would go with what factory recommends and IF it starts to "ping" (rattle sound when accelerating) then step up a grade. Alot of what you hear/read on internet is in direct relationship to fuel available in different areas. Best of both worlds - use the middle grade (it also has extra cleaners in it)

No fast take offs and no passing nothing but hesitation

hi, this is common when the fuel filter and pump are stressed, due to clogs or dense debris. i recommend replacing the fuel filter and pump. i would also advise to replace the air filter as well. this will increase the air exchange.

To top it off, add a high grade fuel additive t the next fill up. this will scrub the fuel lines and injection system.

EXTRA__

Replace all plugs and wires..
