HELLO; Im wondering if this quad is manual, or auto, if a manual trans. then you have a clutch, and it is a wet clutch so the oil you use is very important. SYN. oil will burn your clutch as it has friction inhibitors so a good four cycle oil from one of the bike dealers will let the clutch work properly and reduce heat in an air cooled engine. GOOD LUCK....GREASY

I have replaced a clutch on a Honda 350 four trax atv 4wd and now it is blowing oil out of breather tube
How Much oil did you put back in the engine?..did you remove the oil filter..??..did you install it back in correctly(they go in ONE way!!). .the engine oil capacity is 2.1 quarts..NO MORE!!

What type of oil should I use
You should refer to the specifications for the engine, the vehicle or approach one of the oil company distributors and supply them with your vehicle details.

Modern engine and transmission oils have many grades, qualities and additive packs as well as several different ways of grading those specifications (API, MIL, SAE and so forth).
Sometimes it is very important to get this right, especially as the additives in the oil do not easily mix with the additives in other oils.

I have a 1996 400 liter Polaris 6x6 Big Boss w/ no manual. I presume the oil tank is set up to provide the proper mix ratio. How can you tell if it's malfunctioning/ What is the manufacturer's recomme
you can pull the oil tube off the carb for a couple seconds while its running to see if it drips oil. I'd run a synthetic 2 stroke oil, lubes better and burns cleaner.

First off, there is no oil filter. The oil drain plug is a square ended bolt, usually found on the front or side of the lower part of the motor. Oil type, refer to owners manual, or call dealer.

How do i check oil level in 2000 artic cat 250 2 x 4 atv
1600ml is the Arctic Cat recommended amount BUT if you check the KYMCO manual (the '06 250 is a kymco made for AC) it says the capacity is 1600ml but when you change oil it is 1400ml. This might explain why my oil level always seems higher than it should be. You can check the level with the site glass on the side.

Also on the 250, you also have to change transmission fluid separately. It uses the gear oil NOT engine oil.

yes - all gas motors need oil in the crank case - it should say on the engine either ( cc or ll ) for the amount of oil to put in - 20-40 oil type.
