How to decrease the exhaust sound of Vespa PX150

Hi, Saleh that all depends on your current muffler if it's a stock OEM muffler that is in excellent condition then you would have to seek the advice of a muffler expert to fabricate something for you but if it has rusted holes or has a broken baffle or you have an aftermarket performance muffler installed then a new OEM muffler would quiet down the offending noise..

Hi i have a t5 millenium it is fitted with a scorpion exhaust and a 115 main jet,the bike starts ok first kick with the choke out once started choke goes straight back in.when i ride it from cold i can not...

Hi, Mike_hall558 and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel cap or fuel tank is not venting properly.
2. Fuel filter clogged.
3. Fuel line pinched or kinked.
4. Float needle and seat sticking.
5. Float level too low.
6. Carburetor bowl vent line clogged/blocked/pinched.
7. Idle adjusting screw set too low.
8. Air/fuel mixture screw set too lean.
9. Idle port, transfer ports, slow air jet clogged.
10. Slow fuel jet clogged.
11. Faulty fuel pump.

Spark plug keeps failing after a run out on my scooter vespa px 125 it fails around 20 kilometers

If the plug is fouling only after 20km, you must be running on a very rich mixture... Please try a smaller jet am do some "plug chops" :)

I want to derestric my 2006 aprillia mx does any 1 know what i have to do as regards to exhausts and size of jets etc..

Best thing to do, would be to buy an aftermarket exhaust system, either complete, or just the muffler, a complete one would be better, as the header pipe is usally a bigger diameter. There are many brands to choose from, and varying prices. Put the exhaust on first, then worry about the jetting. Ride it first with the new exhaust, it may not need re jetting, depending on the brand of exhaust, the supplier should have the specs for any re jetting if needed. Mabey one size bigger on the main jet. Also, for extra performance, you need to alter your air box, or air filter system. A bigger exhaust will require more air flow intake to be of any use. Apart from that, it will sound great.

S reg aprilia rs 125 derestrited misfires between 5500 and 7200rpm then takes off like a rocket its a 122 with 28mm carb starts and idles great checked jet in bowl bolt says 120 cdi bin cut power valve...

You have upset the air fuel flow by changing the exhaust, I would try placing a piece of paper over the air filter to change the intake first, to see what happens, then if that doesn't work, you will need to rejet, and sometimes the factory setting won't work, so you will need an adj jet, Find an aftermarket for your carb I think dyno tune has one. They work great. I hope this helps.

Exhaust systems

must the exhaust be specific to the model is there no way to take an exhaust made for a similar scoot and fit it to the scarabeo? What is your goal? The scooter exhausts offered by Leo Vince and Malossi aren't actual performance systems. People use them because they want to customize the scoot or get more of a growl sound while also passing emission inspections. Most people in the USA never have an emissions inspection on their scooters and are thus free to bolt on any exhaust they choose. If you are looking for performance you need an aftermarket free-flow system like those used for off-road bikes and your only limitation is how loud of an exhaust you are willing to accept. There are plenty of aftermarket exhausts for pit bikes and small dirt bikes that should bolt on to the S100-4T. Personally I would start by looking at mods people have done on the Honda XR70 since it's about the same size engine and uses the same 20mm Keihin carburetor. Of course if you bolt-on an aftemarket free-flow dirt-bike exhaust you will need to replace the existing restrictive airbox with a free-flow K&N unit and either add larger jets to the existing carburetor or switch to the high-flow 20mm PE Keihin or the 24mm Keihin. Either way, the muffler is the easy part it's getting the fuel/air mix right and that's all carburetor work. ,,,
