Question about Motorcycles
Noise is annoying. Not only that, motorcycles are finely tuned machines. Messing with the balance upsets performance. Please don't do this. If you want noise, get some head phones and turn up the volume. Please don't cast negative on all the rest of us motorcycle riders who try not to annoy others with the excessive noise.

I cant quite figure out which spacers you are refering to. The only thing I can think to suggest is the exhaust schematic on bikebandit.com. If I knew for sure I could try to look at my bike but there's no telling what previous owners could have done. Sorry. I'd really like to help.

I would say no. Is it just a slip on? Or was it clamped,? welded? How did it fall off? Even if the guts came flying out the end, they can be put back in. My exhaust system is just pressed together, I can pull it apart and rewrap the fiberglass and won't hurt a thing. Some exhausts are held together by a spring. Check it out. Hope this helps.

On my 1998 I cut old muffler off. Inside I found smaller pipes. I could remove the baffles. So I order the same size pipe as the out side pipe from JEGS. Welded it over the smaller pipe. Has a nice tone and now getting better MPG. Hope this helps. My HD friends will not ride on my right. They say it's to loud.
