If you look at the sight glass (on the engine right behind the bend of the front exhaust pipe), you should see oil in it. It should be about half way in between the upper and lower marks on the ring around the glass. You need to have the bike vertical (not on the kickstand) when you look at this.
1700ml is stamped on the engine right next to the oil fill hole as the proper amount. This is also what the manual says is correct.

How do i drain off the coolant

I think this fault was addressed earlier. Unless you have a heating issue or discoloured coolant you need not drain and refill but need to top up if level is low.

Changing the coolant

You can drain off and refill but if there is too much contamination you can wash off with diluted coolant before the actual coolant is refilled. If there is no decolourisation then you need to only top the coolant if there is a fall in level. Also change if there is any heating issues.

I'm having a cooling system problem I clean out the front of the radiator replaced the termosat and coolant. Also bleed the system an she's still overheating

it could be several things. check your clutch fan and make sure it spins freely, also check water pump by checking coolant movement. the other thing that can cause overheating is a bad head gasket.

Ride without radiator

NO, It has a water cooled engine and needs the radiator to cool the coolant that cools the engine. Not air cooled like Dads old bike..

I simply want to change my coolant. How do I

Follow the hoses to the water pump, and pull off the bottom most hose. Pull the cap off the radiator, or the expansion tank, drain, put the hose back on, fill her up, and check it again in a couple days. My bike is a 02 and has never seen a coolant change. Hope this helps.
