I think for sure that the timing belt has jumped a tooth. This can happen if your water pump, or your idler pulley, which are driven by the timing belt, "locks up" for a second. Best advice: replace the timing belt (you should not "reuse" it, as once it slips a tooth, that tooth is now weakend. Also, check the feel of the water pump impeller-gear...if it feels gritty or does not spin freely, replace the water pump while you are in there. It's not much more work. Also check the IDLER pulley for the same feel. If it feels bad/does not spin free, replace it. One or the other caused your problem.
Let me know how it turen out.

for testing, there are some u-tube videos that show each circuit being tested under load. 5v, sensor ground, and sensor signal. need a good meter to check those"hall effect switch" sensors.after trying evrything, THEN buy a pcm and get it flashed with the update. WOT during crank for tests unless u want to disable the fuel pump at the relays for the time of ckp and cam tests

Some positive wire must be stripped and is touching your frame or something that is grounded. It is impossible to know which wire is that from here.
You need to check your wire harness closely all the way for a stripped wire.
Especially under the fuel tank and around the steering tree.

Need wiring diagram for craftsman lawnmower model 247288852

That's very close to my fathers 247.288841. He recently caught it on fire mulching leaves. I could not find a wiring diagram in any of the manuals online.

I bought a new wiring harness to replace the one he melted. The harness was only about $50 and it was easier than trying to repair the melted wires. The wiring harness was amazingly complete. It included EVERYTHING from the battery bolts all the way to the front headlight sockets. It came with all the plastic retainers that fasten it to the frame.

It's possible I could answer specific questions, but I have no diagram.

I have no low-beams. I replaced headlight switch, fuse and both bulbs. Still nothin. The wiring harness seems a bit burnt...could this be an issue?

Certainly a melted connector is an issue. I'd start with what you know is bad. You also said that the wiring harness seems melted. This could be a fused link. Its like a fuse set to pop at certain amps but its a piece of wire instead of a fuse. They're mainly in place to keep your harness from catching on fire. This would indicate a major short. Possibly from your switch. I'd re-wire the switch with good clean tight connections and consult a service manual about the location and size of fused links, replace accordingly. Also, spend some time inspecting the rest of your wiring to be sure you don't have a short elsewhere before powering back up. Please let me know how things work out or if you have more questions. Thanks and good luck!

Put new foglights on my 2002 hyundai elentra gls but dont know how to wire them

First of all, did the vehicle previously come with fog lamps? I'm assuming it didn't. Normally, each YM (Year/Model) Hyundai wiring harness is complete for every feature which might be included with certain trim specifications. However, you probably don't have the multi-function switch which has the 'Fog Lamp Switch' on it (Left Hand Turn & Parking/Headlamp Switches). However, the wiring for the fog lamps is probably there, you just need the multifunction switch which contains the fog lamp switch. The illustration attached shows where the wire harness plugs into the fog lamp bulb. This connector may be taped up in the wire harness out of the way (since I'm assuming the vehicle didn't originally come equipped with fog lamps).

1994 max. starts fine, but has a puttering sound coming from the tailpipe, engine idles a little rough, when driving it has a miss throughout the driving range. Fairly new wires and cap and plugs and...

That could definetly be the problem.
But they also had a problem with the wire harness that runs along the RH passanger side shock tower. wher the harness goes from the body to the engine. sometimes the wires get broken internally.
To test this theory , start the car and grab the harness, wiggle it and bend it around with both hands while listening to the engine to see if it changes better or worse.

I need a 2005 Chrysler 300 wiring diagram

You don't need to touch your harness for the fog lights as its a major harness and is connected to many other things. You need to pop out the light switch opn the dash. it pops out and in the back of it you disconnect it. It has a conector on it. Buy a new switch at dealer, aprox $90 canadian and snap it back on. I know my fog light switch went last year. I have same the same car.

Foglight Switches

if you wired them into the factory harness, then you will have to add a factory switch. however you can wire an aftermarket switch directly to the foglights, bypassing any factory harness
