Very uneven tyre wear - wearing on both inside front tyres


Uneven tyre wear is caused by either worn bushes or incorrect tracking.

It sounds as though your car is 'toe in' and needs the wheels tracking - aligning. Take it to a tyre fitting bay - it doesn't cost much to have it checked/rectified.

  • Regularly check tyre condition and air pressure. Optimum air pressure in the tyres of the bike is important for maximum road grip, stability, riding comfort and longevity of the tyres.
  • While under-inflated tyres wear unevenly, adversely affect handling, and more likely to fail from being overheated, over inflated tyres make the motorcycle ride more harshly, and more prone to damage from surface hazards, and wear unevenly.
  • Check your tyres for cuts and scrapes on your tires, which could cause a blowout. Also check the tyre treads once a week and have the wheels balanced and the alignment checked if the wear is uneven.
  • Engine oil plays an important role in ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of the bike and maintaining a correct engine oil level is important. Check engine oil level each day before operating the two–wheeler. Oil level should be between upper and lower marks. Top up engine oil if required. Check for oil leakage.
  • Clean the two-wheeler body surface regularly to maintain the surface finish. Before cleaning the motorcycle, ensure that the ignition switch unit, H.T. Coil and silencer are covered using plastic sheets.
  • Clean the motorcycle using low-pressure water. All painted surfaces should be washed only with water, as kerosene or detergent will damage the paint.
  • The motorcycle battery needs periodical maintenance to ensure a long and trouble free life. Check the electrolyte level against the top and bottom markings on the battery shell. Always top up with distilled water whenever required.
  • Check for any leakage from battery. It should be clean and free from any leakages. In case of non-use of motorcycle, battery should be kept fully charged and electrolyte level should be at Top mark.
  • Clean spark plug regularly. Every 750 km for two-stroke bike and every 1,500 km for four-stroke bike. Clean spark points (electrodes) with emery paper.
  • Keep carburettor clean. Every 1500 km, clean out the carburettor float chamber and other parts. Clean jets by forcing compressed air through them.
  • Keep both brakes properly spaced. Keeping them too tight (too urgent), or too loose (too late) is dangerous. Brakes should be tightened as per the rider’s personal style and requirement.
  • Check cables regularly for kinks, bends and frayed ends. Especially check ends. If one or more strands appear broken, replace immediately.
  • Always ensure that the tax is paid and Insurance cover (Insurance policy) is within validity period. Keep Tax Receipt and Insurance policy at home and keep xerox copy in bike.

    Check the rubber oil lines behind the plastic belt cover where the front pully is. one of the lines might have a hole in it.

    Most common maintenance problem for the bentely arnage.


    They are many and all expensive...but it is a Bentley!

    Oil seal behind flywheel leaks.

    Fuel rail O rings leak fuel. Need to remove inter cooler and all that that involves....Bio fuel makes it happen sooner.

    Vee belts wear..buy Danish made belts from dealer.

    Power steering and alternator brackets subject to failure.

    Radiator top outlet breaks off when top hose becomes old and stiff...radiator is $1300.00 plus $400.00 core charge and two way shipping.

    Heavy car...tyre wear and suspension replacement common and often.

    This is some of the repairs common to these Red Label Arnarge models.

    Inspection interval I

    BMW Inspection I (return to top) Undercarriage
    • Change engine oil and filter while engine is at normal operation temperature.
    • Check transmission for leaks.
    • Check rear axle for leaks.
    • Visually check fuel tank, lines, and connections for leaks.
    • Check condition, position, and mounting of exhaust system. Examine for leaks.
    • Check power steering system for leaks.
    • Check overall thickness of front and rear disc brake pads.
    • Examine brake disc surfaces.
    • Clean brake pad contact points in calipers.
    • Grease wheel center hubs.
    • Check steering for absence of play, condition of suspension track rods, front axle joints, steering linkage, and joint disc.
    • Check front control arm bushing for wear.
    • Check brake and clutch system connectors and lines for leaks, damage, and incorrect positioning.

    jet wash it clean , then get an old tyre and start up the **** leave it on top of the tyre and just observe , we commonly used to find a small oil leak from the filter foam wiith folk leaving them on there side

    Uneven front tire wear


    Idoubt your fork fluid levels have anything to do with uneven tyre wear,depending on where you live dictates how your tyre wears,if you live in uk then you tend to turn right more than left therefore wearing the tyre more on the right and reverse this for anywhere they drive on the wrong side of the road.tyre pressures are important... to check the fork fluid level you need to drain the oil into a measuring jug,compare result to manufacturers recommendation.if you are not mechanically competent do not attemt this as you may get hurt as the fork internals are under load from a spring

    Check your oil filter - The oil filter on these is located right next to the crank pulley.

    Uneven tyre wear can only really be caused by either worn suspension or steering components, or wheel alignment angles incorrect. The best way to check this out is to get a wheel alignment carried out by a reputable specialist, as they will (or certainly should) go over your suspension and steering first to make sure there are no faults before they reset the wheel alignment. The other thing to note is that if the uneven tyre wear is bad enough the wheel alignment won't fix the wear problem, just slow it down.
    The shimmy could be caused by a couple of things (driveshaft out of balance, tyre fault, wheel balance) but the best thing to do initially is get the wheels balanced first and see if that fixes the problem, and then go from there.
    The same company should be able to both the alignment and balance, and these jobs should both be done periodically (at least whenever you replace tyres) to improve tyre life and make the vehicle easier and nicer to drive.
