have you tried adjusting your air/mixture? I found having a lower idle helps a lot with aggressive pull offs, its a lot of fiddling but its worth it

I rode my wife's gsr 600 yesterday it was fine all way home. But when on tick over at the house the oil light came on. Give it som revs and it went out. Let it cool and started it and it was off.

Check the oil level!

At idle (when warm), if low, the oil pump could be sucking air with the oil it can collect.
When you rev it, the oil pump picks up speed (with the engine) to produce more pressure (which also operates the oil pressure sending unit).
Letting it cool down causes the oil to settle back down in the sump, raising the level so everything seems ok.
This is a simplified explanation, but CHECK OIL LEVEL!
If that's not the problem, it COULD be a oil pressure sending unit going bad.

Chain done damage to gearbox

Cases can sometimes be Heliarc welded. Contact a commercial welding company and let them look at the damage. It may be too badly damaged and would need to be replaced. Replace case halves as a matched set. If you only replace one case half you run a strong chance of shafts binding up on reassembly. I recommend replacing the casings.
