SOURCE: How do you remove the rear tire on a 2000 kawasaki

Take out the cotter pin and Loosen the large but on the right side, but do not remove it yet. Jack up the rear wheel until it is clear of the ground about an inch. Raise the bike with a floor jack and have two buddies on each side or two tie downs keep it balanced. Remove the large nut. shove the wheel forward as far as it will go and take the chain off the sprocket. let it lay on top of the swing arm. Take a block of wood and gently tap the axle in now pull it out from the other side. You may have to support the wheel to do this. once the axle is out the wheel will drop down to the floor. remove the brake bracket and caliper. be sure to watch and note where the spacers go on each side of the bike so you can get them back where they belong. with the brake clear and the chain off the sprocket roll the wheel out the rear of the bike. To reinstall, reverse the above and install a new cotter pin when done for safety. best wishes!

SOURCE: took cover off there was oil inside is this normal

My clymer manual says yes. Oil is there.
The first thing I have to do is drain the oil and pull the oil filter.
I'm replacing my stator this weekend btw.
I'm not a mechanic, but I'm well inclined and have lots of knowledge and friends that know more than I do.
I hope to have a successful stator replacement on my '07 C90T by 09/26/09
My replacement stator is $173 from regulatorretifier.com. It's advertised to be improved and puts out 20% more juice. It will be in Wed. 09/23
I'll watch your page for updates. . .Joe

What is the best type of oil to use in my 2000 zrx1100??

A motorcycle oil should be JASO MA certified on the label. Any oil that is Energy Conserving (car oil) will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears. Use 10w-40 in cold climates and 20w-50 in warm climates. Synthetic oil will help the bike run cooler and shift easier.

Oil leak

Hi, You don't say how much of a leak or if it is wet or blackened oil or if it is oil. Could it be brake fluid ? Clutch? I think before I pulled the trans cover I would remove alot of the fairing pieces and check for loose bolts, clamps, clips, check hoses, seals and overflows. Check levels to see what is low or maybe too full. Don't look for problems that might not be there! Find your source first! Good Luck!
