Check the engine mounts to the frame. these are isolated by rubber and you may have broken one gettin' on it at the light.

Usually, you have to take the small reset knob off the tripmeter and the center nut off the dash. The dash will come over the speedo but you have to get it just right and it'll come up.

Nothing happens when the ignition switch is turned on

You should not change the wattage on bulbs as the increased load may wreak such havoc with your electrical system.

I would wonder that the main fuse would blow, do you have any power to anything?? Maybe you blew a lighting fuse.

If you find the solution please make a comment and post it.

06 honda odyssey electrical issues and check engine light

power problems, 12vdc not there. all the time. it drops out
do the head lights dim too, or dash lights
why on scan the ECU, and see if it shows , DTC for power loss

im guess, bad or loose fuse. remember bad fuses look bad, good looking fuses can be bad. (hair cracks or corrosion on pins)
wiggle all fuses. see what happen then. tell me all things that fail.
i bet there are more,

I am installing a 96 thru 99 FXST dash in my 1973 FL and I need a wiring schamatic for the late model dash so I don't destroy it, by hook it up wrong. Thanks.

I think you're going to run into a problem with this setup. I think Harley went to the "electronic" switch in 1996 and it has only three wires to it. Trying to figure out where you want the "six wire" system to connect to is going to be a job. I'd order the right switch for your bike. I'm pretty sure it will fit your dash but it won't have the round key. V-Twin makes the switches but they're Chinese junk. They'll last a while but they don't cost an arm and a leg. You may find a NOS switch but it ain't going to be cheap. I don't have a schematic for a bike that late, 96 to 99.

Good luck

My HD is a 2005 FLSTSCI Springer. I got the HD softail Service Manual 2007 but I'm not sure that is the right manual.I don't know the changes between 2005 and 2007 models. Someone could help me?Thanks in...

In your manual, some things changed and some things didn't. Exactly what has changed, your guess is as good as mine. I would guess that most of the changes would be electrical but I think Harley went to a six speed transmission in '06. Harley doesn't change a lot of stuff at one time. Usually, 95% of the stuff is the same from one year to the next. There are parts on your bike that have not changed since 1936. If you look at harley part numbers, there is a five digit number followed by a dash and two digit number. The two digit number is the year that part was first used in a bike. Like "xxxxx-54" means the part was introduced and first used in 1954.

Battery went dead now it runs like **** how do i reset code for efi

The battery going dead should not have anything to do with your ECU map! The ECU will not loose its map when you loose electrical power. You will however run badly if the bike is using more amperage to run than your stator is putting out or if the regulator is faulty and not allowing the proper current to operate the bike. If you had a battery go bad it is sometimes a sign that you are having a problem in the charging system. I would suggest you have the system checked.

take a leaf blower and dry the bike with it, after washing any bike you should use a "light" powerd leaf blower to dry your bike. Just let the water dry out and you should be fine. If not pull out all the fuses and hand dry them before you them back in and try it...

Electrical Help Please

nada. No gauges no lights absolutely nothing. All that happens is when I turn the ignition switch off the tach bounces backward quickly about 6 or 8 times. I put the bike on the battery tender and within 20 minutes it was showing in good shape. Still nothing. Checked battery leads. No problem. I checked all the fuses around the battery and up next to the dash. Nothing there. I R & R'd all of the relays next to the dash and the 3 behind the tool kit with the same relays off of my Mille. Still nothing. I changed the odd relay next to the battery that says UP on it. Don't know what it is but it rattles. Maybe a tip over sensor? Nothing. I tried jumping the bike off with a portable jump start battery. Nothing. I switched the battery out. Nothing. I pulled the front fairing and checked all connections. Found everything to be just fine. Put a battery charger on the fully charged battery and suddenly got ignition lights and headlights. Turned the key back off and once again nothing. A few more times it would come back and show lights and gauges but when I went to start everything went dead again. I'm thinking maybe the ignition switch? It doesn't seem worn out at all. I jiggled the key didn't seem to make a difference. The bike only has about 10k miles on it. Any ideas? ,Some 'friend'... did this ever happen to him? Good diag work so far, and I don't have anything specific to look at. Hopefully one of the sm-m-m-marter members can assist. ,,,
