Set it to factory spec for the best sound you can expect. Stock or manufacturer recommend after market exhaust may enhance the experience. Remember ... noise annoys. Anything else will cause you big trouble ... engines and exhausts are designed to work together ... if you mess with the formula ... you can damage your machine and lose your investment and or void warranties - violate laws. Stick with what the manufacturer recommends ... that is unless you are a engineer and absolutely KNOW what you are doing.

Knocking sound when 2006 GSx R-750 Suzuki motorcycle is idling. No sulfur smell at all. Just sounds rough.

Hello could have a detonation knock or "spark knock" due to bad gas.
Have you had your valve lash checked and adjusted @ recommended intervals? Could also be a timing chain noise...If you can determine what area of the engine the sound is coming from would help...To help pinpoint you can take a short piece of hose, like a heater hose or even garden hose, hold it to your ear and move it around on the engine. The knock or rattle will intensify as you get closer to it....Good luck, i hope this helps.

Engine clanging funny when started

Noises coming from the inside of an engine are not good. Someone needs to pull the right side engine cover and look at the clutch, crankshaft drive gear and kick gear. It sounds like something has come loose.

Suzuki vs800 motorcycle will not start

Hi and welcome to the site,

Initially, by "...will not start...", does it mean that the starter motor will not spin or starter motor spins but engine will not fire? Usual checks:
  • red engine RUN switch;
  • neutral light lit;
  • try starting with the sidestand up and/or the clutch lever pulled in.

Offhand, if there is no clicking sound, check, externally charge and/or load test the battery. On the otherhand, if there is a clicking sound, check, replace or temporarily bypass the starter relay.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

Where are the recepticles located on a yamaha 2002 v star ?

The transmission uses your engine oil for lubrication. One of the reasons to use a quality motorcycle oil in your bike NOT car oil...Top off your engine oil, (pour in dipstick hole) and have a good ride.....Good luck to you....Tim

Rocker arms are responsible to move the valves and hence control the valve timing. So if youe mileage and power goes okay,i don think there is some problem with the rocker arms.
