SOURCE: wiil a rear shock off

If the length is the same then yes but what the ride will be like, I wouldn't like to speculate.

Vibrating water pipes

caused by a length of pipe vibrating in tune with the shock waves in the water and often from a tap or other outlet. Change the outlet - reduce the water pressure/flow - find the offending length and secure it - inset a junction in that pipe [plastic push fit is ok and will reduce or remove the resonating effect]

Rear shock

You would probably be better off sending your failing unit to "Maxton" for a refurb, The biggest problem with finding a monoshock that is right for your bike is the coil and damping settings, not to mention the eye end fittings. Motorcycle monoshocks are designed to fit and work with a specific geometry of linkages. While you may find one the correct size, it may not work properly with the linage setup on your bike. And the only thing keeping your tyres on the road is the suspension. I hope this helps. If you do find one will you let me know please. When you are looking you will need to measure the mounting holes, the length of the unit and the width of the unit, if it is too fat it could catch in the very cramped area under the seat.

Hi! I have a FUJI Thrill LT 1.0 bike frame with no rear shock (2006 model 17'') and I'm trying to figure out which rear shock to buy. On they say my bike uses a "Manitou S-Type SRL,...

Eye-to-eye is the unloaded distance between the shock mount ends when its on the bike. Unless the shock could squish down flat the piston travel will be somewhat less than its total length. Effective axle travel from shock compression is a function of the bike design and the shock stroke distance. 145mm is the wheel travel, not the stroke.

Yes, they come in different lengths and stroke distances...

again, for different frame and suspension designs. You need to match the spec for YOUR bike. Unfortunately, no one specs the stroke of the shock when discussing the wheel travel. You may need ask Fuji directly.

2001 electra glide classic rear shock length

Harley usually uses a 12.5" shock but that could change from model to model and they don't list "shock length" in their specs. The best thing you could do it go to a dealer or find someone that has a stock bike and measure the front end height and rear shock length. Sorry but that's all I got.

Good Luck

Does any one know if progressive shocks off a 1997 dyna wide glide will fit a 2003 dyna wide glide.

They should fit, just measure the length of the shock from eyelet to eyelet. if you don't have the measurements of the other bike just call a local dealer to find out the standard length

not so much for the 1098. Pretty sure by the looks of it the 1098 won't work but I'd like to know if the 999 will on the 996.My understanding is no it won't fit. You should look for a 748/916/996/998 shock.,,
