Shaft oil only if you need to r3epair it the engine about every 3,000 miles is fine, use only good quality oil, synthetic is best.

I suspect that changing the tranny oil will not solve your problem. At best when the pan is removed to change the oil filter you will probably find clutch parts in the sump. However having said that take it to a tranny shop and have the pressures tested before doing anything else

1995 Ford E250 4.9l . I've got to change the 6th oil pump . this one lasted 10 miles

There are only a few things to check. I do not have a blueprint for this engine in front of me. There may be a pressure relief valve on the oil pump assembly and the spring is broken and allowing pressure to bypass.

Oil pump shaft- often there is a spring pin to secure the shaft to the gear driving it. If the pin is sheared the pump will not spin.

Clogged block, clogged cylinder heads, oil pump pickup fell off pump?
Too much play in bearings. Cracked block.

Was this an engine Salvaged from the Obama Gas guzzler Program? Those engines were treated with an oil additive to seize them up. Parts from these motors are junk. Don't use the used oil pumps.

Please rate my info.

This is straight from the book.
1. Remove oil pan.
2. Place large drain pan under engine
3. Unbolt the pump and exstension shaft from the rear main cap.
4. Lower same
5.Before reinstall prime the pump with engine oil. Pour oil in the exstension shaft while turning the pump.
6. Attach the pump, extension shaft and retainer to the main bearing cap.
(aling the pump with the dowel pins while you align the top end of the exstension shaft with the lower end of the oil pump drive.
Note when proper it fits into place easily.

Stuck lifter in #1 valve on 03 VW golf 2.0 - how to fix?

We can try the easy way and hopefully it can fix the problem.
You can try adding some Marvel Mystery Oil to the Engine oil every oil change for the next few Oil change. The Oil is thinner and will clean up the inside of the engine, if there is dirt in the Oil journals that is restricting oil to the Lifters. The Mystery Oil will free it up and use 5W30 on the V W, the engine don't work well with thicker or dirty oil.
The Mystery Oil will also clean up the OIL pump screen if it's also gunked up with oil sludge and carbon deposit, so make sure you keep an eye on the oil and change is every 3000 Miles if not sooner. Depend's on how dirty the engine is on the inside, soon as the engine is cleaned and lifter's are quiet. Just use 5W30 and be faithful on the Oil change and you will start to hear singing and rainbows appearing. LOL
Good luck, if this does not work then it's going to be a valve job.

Engine overheating audi 4.2 a8 1999

I would have the cooling fan checked, and have the thermostat changed. An overheated thermostat (overheating caused by something else) will cause problems in the future.
