Check for loose wiring of loose earth wire . The fault is intermittent which indicates a on /off connection some where. Check all wire connectors are clean and tight.

Test the battery by jumping from another vehicle. This engine has high compression and will act as described when the battery fails to produce adaquate cranking amps. If this solves it, replace the battery and ride on.

Try checking the switch for your parking brake. It is the top wire in the clutch handle boot. This wire connects to your CDI box, and restricts the RPM's while the parking brake is engauged. To find out for sure, trace the wire down to the plug under the headlight assembly and disconnect it. Now try starting you machine and give it some throttle!
