If you have any adjustment left on the clutch lever adjustment, then take out all the unnecessary slack. Otherwise your clutch is burned out, your going to have to replace it.

360 km/hr is NOT 40 miles/hr.
1 mile is about 1.6 km
To go from km to miles, multiply by 0.62
To go from miles to km, multiply by 1.6

Kilometers per hour to Miles per hour

How long will it take to change a clutch on my 1999 Honda accord coupe

That would depend on what tools you have, and your skill at working on that model of car. In a professionally stocked garage with a lift and transmission jack and air tools. A couple hours and a 12 pack of beer. In the gravel under a shade tree with dollar store wrenches and have never worked on a car before in your life??? It may never run again.

How come my 91 mr2 turbo losses clutch pressure after sitting in fifth gear on the freeway for an hour or more, then works again after being pumped several times. never fails otherwise?

Hi, you just see if the pistons in the cylinders that actuate the clutch are very old... If so they cant build up that ahigh a pressure to move the clutch. They ll lose compression. Also chceck for the fluid loses in the hydraulic circuits. Get the clutch assembly inspected.

I'd be tempted to shield the spring from the heat of the exhaust - is there any way to pop rivet on a piece of aluminium sheet and bend it to not impede the operation of the clutch?

Electric blade clutch won't work and battery went dead

If you have a new battery and it went dead that quickly I would check the charging system on the mower engine. Many of them use a voltage regulator and if it goes bad it will not properly charge the battery. Get the engine running (do not engage the PTO) and use a multimeter set on DC voltage. Place the multimeter leads on the battery and you should see approximately 13-14 volts DC at the battery terminals when it is running. If less then that then it's a problem with the charging system and further tests would be needed to figure out if it is a bad regulator or charging coil.

to all those posting about tuscon clutch problems.... seems this is a common prob..! my tucson 55 plate cdx (38k miles) is curently in repair . 1. i started having problems finding 2nd gear, this occured for a few weeks. 2. then i lost most of tension in clutch pedal,.
I got a mate to fit a new master cylynder (1hour work), and that seemed to resolve the problem.... but only for several weeks....! eventually i was unable to find most gears on selection.... the dealership fitted a new slave cylynder today (3.5 hours work) but called me to inform me it still has not resolved the problem and they will now replace the complete clutch system (6.8 hours work) sadly my warranty has just expired...!!

How do I replace the clutch of my 2007 1200 GS Adventure?

Is your clutch slipping?? Is there an oil leak between the engine/trans?

Replacing the clutch on a R1200GS is a bit involved unless you are very mechanically skilled. You basically split the bike in half to remove the transmission and gain access to the clutch. You need a means of supporting the front half of the bike under the engine while you remove the back half of the bike. Disconnect electrical harness from the rear, disconnect brake lines to the rear of the bike. remove throttle bodies etc. takes 2-3 hours for a skilled mechanic to get the clutch out, then 4-6 hours to put all back together again CORRECTLY!

If the clutch is NOT slipping, I would suggest removal of the starter motor on the lower LHS of the engine/ trans. and measurement of the clutch disc before you start the work of disassembly
