SOURCE: Hello, I have a 99

Sounds like you've got it together correctly. There is no washer between the brake caliper bracket and the swingarm. You can put the axle in from either direction. We usually put them in from the left side so that we no longer have to remove a muffler to remove the rear wheel. The nut is now on that side. Just make sure the wheel turns smoothly and the brakes work correctly before taking in out on the road. If you hear a chirping noise when you shift gears, your rear belt is too loose.

Good luck
Steve

SOURCE: I want to put a 21" wheel on the front of my 2000 flhri, i need to know what size the axle is and if spacers will need to be changed depending on which wheel i choose

Your front axle is 1" diameter.

You probably will need spacers (even stock has spacers)

What's the difference between high positive offset and medium offset on wheels for jeeps.

the off set of a wheel is the distance the centre of the rim is set from the face of the hub
it is used when the tyre fitted hits inside the wheel well and more space is needed to facilitate the turning before the wheel fits
IN effect it moves the load on the bearings from the larger inner bearing out towards the smaller outer bearing and that increases the load on the stub axle
medium off may be 1/2 inch out and high off set may be an inch
the gain is a wider track for better stability on slopes
the disadvantage is increased bearing failure , stub axle failure and tyre wear from wheel geometry problems ( wheel alignment)
there is negative off set where the centre of the rim is moved towards the vehicle
rim off set is what you want instead of spacer plates which increase the load on the studs causing them to snap off
Talk with a tyre shop to get the best for what you want

Will 1999 fatboy wheels fit a 2006 fatboy

No, the '99 has tapered bearings and the '06 has sealed wheel bearings. The axles are also a different size.

Im trying to replace the wheel bearing on the front wheel suzuki vz800 2000 trying to get them out

Push the spacer between the bearings off to one side. Get a chisel or an old screw driver and tap the inner race of the bearing out from the opposite side. Save the spacer. Flip the wheel over and tap out the other side. Grind the outer edge off one of the old bearings and place it over the new bearing. Tap on the old bearing to drive the new bearing into place. You may have to finish the install with a chisel on the outer race. Alternate tapping from side to side being careful not to damage seal. Flip the wheel over put the spacer back into the wheel and tap the new bearing into place so that it barely touches the spacer. The bearings should spin freely, but should not bind (inner races pushing too hard against spacer will cause binding). If you install too tightly reach through the wheel and tap on the opposite bearing only enough to stop the binding. Press in the seals and reinstall the wheel on the bike.

I have a 97 saturn sl that has 17" rims on it.I am

Figure out what it is, an SL1 being SOHC or an SL2 being DOHC. If it is a SOHC then it came with 14 inch rims and if it is a DOHC then it came with 15 inch rims. Once you know what it is then call around to local junkyards, or auto recylers if it sounds better, and tell them you need 4 rims of the right size. Rims usually cost about 20 bucks apiece used and any Saturn rim 91-20 will fit the car, with the proviso that they must be the right rim, being 14 inch or 15 inch. If you put the wrong size on, your speedometer and odometer will be way off and your transmission life with be greatly reduced. Then get yourself some regular tires to fit the rims and sell those stupid rims on craigslist to some dumb kid.

I need to know rear wheel spacer placement. also where to rreference to align the rear wheel. it seems i have un equal space between the wheel and fender. i have a total of three spacers two on the pulley...

The wheel not being equally spaced under the fender is typical of all Softail motorcycles. They have an "offset" wheel stance. I don't know exactly why but they are designed this way.

The three spacers you are talking about is actually one spacer and two seal races. The two seal races go into the wheel bearing seals on either side of the wheel. This provides a smooth finish for the wheel bearing seals to ride on. The other "spacer" is a bit larger and goes on the belt side of the wheel and the rear brake caliper bracket acts as the spacer on the other side. Anytime you take the wheels off your bike, always mark and make a drawing of the positions of the spacers.

Good Luck

Ties size

15" rim width? Yes, but you will need a wheel with adequate back spacing or wheel spacers. However, there may be rubbing issues in turns.

15" rim diameter? Absolutely. That is plenty of diameter to clear the braking components.
You will likely have to go with a lower profile tire.
