SOURCE: 1975 Honda CB 400 F Spark plug info

Hi, your plug number for an NGK plug is D8ESL As far as the plug socket size it is a 13/16 deep well socket. The gap should be set at .07-.08mm.

SOURCE: 1975 honda cb360t both sprakplug are fiering but

it appears one carb is running richer than the other, the rich side being the cool side, take off gas tank, on lean carb, unscrew top of carb where cable goes in,lift it out,the slide will have brass tapered on bottom, ther should be a c-clip holding the pin in the slide, ther is notches in the brass pin to adjust it up/dn in the slide, it needs to go up one notch in the slide, try that and adjust as nessary, luck

SOURCE: i just purchased a honda cb250 1975 no spark

If there is no spark your points are probably dirty or just grounded out. Try a new points and condenser set. Install the points carefully so the new set does not ground. I assume you already tried new spark plugs and spark plug caps.

Your scooter does not use points, remove the plastic cover and check that the flywheel is not spinning loose on the crankshaft. Check the coil and make sure it is bolted on tight. Check all of the wiring for corrosion. Try another sparkplug, this one may be fouled with oil or gas. (Rare on a four-stroke)

Have you replaced the condensor? Do the points actually spark?
Have you checked HT lead and plug cap? Remove cap and place bare end of ht lead on cylinder head so that spark can jump from core to cylinder fin, DON'T hold it there... Kick engine over and look for spark at end of HT lead

No spark cmx250

When it comes to spark, there are a few things to check. 1), is the coil grounded? 2) are there any breaks in the lines connecting the coil to the spark plug? 3) Check the corrosion of the points and gaps if equipped. This link should help you.

1974 honda 550 four will not start no fire to the plugs

Make sure you have a fully charged battery. The ignition system on a Honda draws it's power from the battery not the charge coils. Start by replacing your points and condenser. You probably have shorted or grounded points which translate to no spark at the plug. New spark plugs and spark plug caps (caps unscrew off of the end of the wire) will also increase the efficiency of the spark.

No spark checked points they have spark how do I check coil assy. or change wire to spark plug a OEM ignition coil is spendy

If the points are working correctly you are having a problem with the condenser ,coils, spark plugs,or spark plug caps. Honda condensers are notorious for being week. Spark plug caps have resisters that burn out or corrode. Coils can go bad but do not usually go out in pairs. Plug wires can short out the spark if the are old and cracked or wet. One coil does two plugs so on shorting wire on each coil will kill all the spark. You can see this if the bike is running at night where it is dark. Aftermarket Accel coils($150-$200) might be a good option along with an after market CDI ignition (may still be available through Parts Unlimited about $200). I suspect that your problem is still the points. Power is going to them but not leaving them. Even new points may have to be reinstalled several times before they decide not to short to ground.
