Hi, Anonymous for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. SOURCE: 900 ss Stalling

Sounds like the carbs are getting starved for fuel as load and rpm's increase. Start with Jack's suggestion on the fuel filter and get a new one. If that doesn't do it check other items in the fuel delivery circut. Rust or scale in the tank plugging the pickup dried out fuel lines that are semi-collapsed dirt and grit in the carbs - stuff like that. Fuel delivery problems typically seem to manifest themselves in the higher gears under load. They don't show up in the lower gears when accelerating simply because the bike pulls through them so quickly. If delivery is barely adequate, it has a split second to catch up when you shift. As the duration of uninterrupted load increases, it will run out of gas before the next shift. Typically, they fire right back up after you pull over and let them sit for a minute with the fuel pump running. Does your bike do this?,,,

Check your clutch adjustment,if this is a used bike there might not be anything left of the clutch.

SOURCE: 1982 Honda 650 nighthawk; jumps and stalls when put into gear.

this may help,it doesnt sound like the clutch is out of adjustment,it sounds like the clutch plates have become stuck together,(this happens quite a bit if the bike has been parked for a over winter) fix it get the bike moving, down a drive way or something..then just bang it into gear, then shift into the highest gear you can by shifting without the clutch, once you have a bit of pace on simply hold the clutch lever in and work the throttle on and off all the while holding the clutch lever in,the clutch should free itself fairly quickly and should be back to normall,a lot of older bikes are good at doing this..hope this helps

SOURCE: as soon as i put the bike in gear it stalls with

This problem should be re-tagged gv650.

It's not your clutch, it's the kickstand killswitch. I had the same issue.

If you look down next to your kickstand on the left hand side you'll see a silver switch (looks like a mushroom), follow the cables up to the front end of the chasis near the sump and you'll find a black connector with two wires coming out of it. You can either bypass the connector using a piece of wire or just do what I did and clip the wires, wind them together and crimp them in a connector.

Start your bike and hey presto - problem solved.

Hope this helps.

When I turn into a parking space or onto a street it sounds like something clicking or vibrating even when i push my clutch in

Most clicking/popping noises when turning indicate a bad ball joint in the front axle. The CV joint has a boot over it that will eventually rip, causing the grease inside to be slung out. Dirt and moisture will get in there and cause the smooth joint to pop when under stress, like turning.

Sudden random vibrations

vibrations could be of many sorts but;
1) check to see whether the engine mounting are worn out?
2) also look at the bearings of the wheels
3) please check and see if the diffs oil is leaking?
4) also bushes can contribute at some point.
if all the above is "Yes", kindly change all or part of the worn out elements, if not then explain problem further

I have a four door 1998 pontiac sunfire. It has been make a sort of weird vibration comin from the muffler area lately and now all of a sudden after drivin it around like that for a cpl weeks the engine...

I would guess that you have had part of the internals of the muffler break up. The most painful possibility is that the catalytic converter has failed and it's restricting the output from the exhaust. This will cause all kinds of issues with back pressure in the system which will do no good and will certainly cause the check engine light to come on as lambda sensors are affected by the change in flow from the manifold caused by the restriction.

Did you by ay chance smell (or do you now smell) sulphur dioxide (rotting eggs) when the engine stalled? This is a classig sign of a failed catalytic converter. It could of course be something as simple as a breakdown inside one of the muffler units and silencer material blocking the pipe. If this was tha case, then a classic sign is sound absorbtion material (usually fibreglass wool) being blown out of the tailpipe.

2004 TB EXT. Lately its been running rough. When I start it, it has a quick vibration-noise then stops. When I turn it off, it makes a weird stumble(very fast) then dies. Sounds as if the exhaust is...

1st things first, clean that throttle body with carb cleaner with the battery disconnected.

Check your motor mounts and transmission mounts for the vibration at start up and when your foot is on the brake. I just went through this with my TB. The mounts may look ok visually, but they may be going flat. Changing the gear oil won't solve anything you have described, however, it's time to change, then change it.

Did you recently change your spark plugs to a brand other than AC Delco 41-103's? I've seen platinum plugs make our TB's run rough also the worst is Bosch. Stick with the iridium Delco's, will have a smoother running vehicle. Hope something in here helps.

I hear a loud ratteling noise coming from where

The rattle is likely a loose shield or a bad catalytic converter. As for the loud banging, Have you checked the front U-joints behind the brake rotors. As for the Reverse noise? Auto or stick shift?
