How do I know which way round do the cam chain tensioner guide and tensioner slipper damper rubbers fit on a Honda cb 400f

They might be symetrical on your bike. If so, the orientation is not important. Look for tabs or other differences left to right, top to bottom. Some have a subtle side wear plate that will go against a polished part of the casting. Most of the wear on the old one will happen on the load side nearest the crown.

How can i reduce timing chain noice in hero honda splender

some bikes have an adjustment nut - connected to a plate that applies tension to the cam chain - if not - it may need to be replaced ( I believe some are self adjusting - but not sure ) - best to buy a shop manual, ( OEM or Clymer Manual ) or download one on line - its cheap insurance - it will tell you how much tension to apply -

Xr 350 timing chain slop makes noise can i adjust it

Both the 1985 honda xr250r and xr350 look loke they have self adjusting cam chain tensioners. You may have a broken tensioner or tensioner guide. With the age of the bike you may need a new cam chain. There is nothing to adjust so you need to just figure out if the chain is stretched , if a guide is broken, or if the tensioning mechanism is malfunctioning.

Noisy cam chain

You need to replace your cam chain tensioner assembly and possibly the cam chain guide. This is a common problem in older 600's.
