White smoke is an indicator of water being burnt so Perhaps the head blew of your radiator has a big hole , water pump leaking , rad hoses blew, heater hose blew .

Engine froze up, what causes water to get in oil?


The head gasket could be blown. Is there a lot of water? Is there oil in your radiator?
There is a chance, it could be condensation. If it is just a small amount of milky looking oil on the oil cap.

My 93toyota camery overheated cause of split n radiator replaced with new radiator but still blows water out of overflow think could b waterpump n sounds like missing could that b because of the water blew...


Possibly blew a head gasket allowing combustion gases to enter the cooling system and force coolant out of the overflow tank. This can be verified by doing a compression check on each cylinder.

Car overheated very fast, now there is a leak and the car wont start, could it be the water pump or is it more serious


Well it would depend on why the engine won't start.
If it overheated and the head gasket blew out, you may not have enough compression to start the engine.
A water pump leak would not prevent the engine from starting.

1983 F-150 Ford 302 engine, my problem is all of my coolant blew out of the water pump housing that is mounted on the engine, does a plug go in that hole.


ALL ! waterpumps have a hole=1/8" approx dia. underneath the main shaft that holds the fanblade to wp. shaft. When shaft bearings start to go H2O will usually leak out of here due to the seals going too.
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH VAPOR LOCK WHICH OCCURS WHEN THE CARB AND GAS LINE BECOME HOTTER THEN THE BOILING PT OF FUEL.If your water pump is not moving enough coolant through the engine block and then the radiator you can get VP Loc(but engine will probably be boiling over//DO NOT OPEN RADIATOR CAP AT THIS TIME=YOU WILL BE SCALDED,,let it cool down.
Remove and replace water pump(you might have to pull radiator no big a deal) to get access to all bolts holding w pump on. Back flush engine block and radiator:pull thermostat to make sure correct temp to open and not stuck.Replace parts=you are done!
NOTE: If you overheat on the freeway; turn on the car's heater(it has an extra radiator to cool down engine) and stop AC. Good luck-Fly

Will not go above 4500 revs power loss, overheating.


It sounds as if the engine is running very lean, this can be caused by several things. Firstly the fuel filter you have installed, is it pointing in the correct direction (Fuel in and Fuel out), also is it a high pressure filter? If not remove it. Another thing that causes problems is the fuel pump could have a problem, it is also possible the gauze filter on it is clogged. Next check the fuel you have and make sure it has no water in it, to clear small amounts of water you can get a tank of ethanol, this will mix water and burn it off as you ride (Don't us a big mix E10 should be sufficient) if you don't like the ethanol, empty the tank of ethanol and refill with regular fuel.

CHANGED WATER PUMP NOW THE TRUCK DON'T WANT TO TURN OVER?


Did you disconnect/reconnect battery? Do you have power? Are all the drive belts properly routed and tightened? Is coolant/water levels full? How bad did the truck overheat before you changed the water pump? If the truck was running fine before you changed the water pump, then double check that you properly reinstalled and reconnected all components you removed to gain access to the pump. Make sure your battery connections are secure and properly charged. If you didn't disconnect the battery when replacing pump, it's a possibility at some point you could have shorted the battery to ground and blew a fuse. Check all of your main fuses, then check all other fuses.

Otherwise, even if you installed a bad water pump, it has nothing to do with truck turning over. The only possibilities are that engine froze before changing pump, drive belts not properly reinstalled/secured, components not properly reinstalled or connected, or battery shorted and blew a fuse, or fuses. Let me know how it goes.

Blown head gasket


Check for possible water in oil, also remove radiator cap and start engine does water want to pump out of radiator, is there white smoke coming out of tail pipe, if yes to any of those blown head gasket, if not sure yet remove spark plugs crank engine over is there any coolant coming out of spark plug holes, if yes blown head gasket, and last have a block test any repair shop can do this.Good luck
