Model 026. when trying to cold start, why does the compression button pop out without starting?

Its ment to.!!! that's the job of a decompression button.

Procedure:
1.push on off switch into full choke position, depress the decompression button.
2.pull the saw over until it 'fires' once.
3. the decompression button would have popped back up, click the on/off switch up to half choke.
4.pull saw over and it should fire up, revving.! blip the throttle to return it to tick over.

How do i start a formula 3 rotax 600 does it have a decompression

There is no decompression on formula 3. Just turn on the choke switch and pull the starter cord. Once itstarts turn off the choke half way for about a minute. Then shut the choke right off.

How to test decompression valve stihl chainsaw

Sounds like a valve that releases some or all of the compression during starting, to make ripping the cord easier. When the engine fires it is supposed to close automatically & allow the engine to start. They can become faulty mechanically (broken spring) or they can become clogged with combustion junk, esp if run the oil too rich. This will make starting difficult or impossible. Best fix is to replace with new or re-manufactured if you can get.

My 2000 yamaha 1600 clicks when I try to start it

The clicking may be the starter solenoid. Check for a dead battery or defective solenoid.

If the saw is fitted with a decompression switch you need to decompress the cylinder after every pull to make it easier to start. If it doesn't have a decompression switch you need to put the saw on the ground and put your right foot firmly into the handle opening, place your left hand on the top hand bar, grip the pull handle and pull out slowly until you feel a solid wall or compression and then pull straight up fast and hard for about 8 - 10". Make sure the brake is on when starting. I have an older Husky saw and this is how I start it. It has a short pull cycle so don't try to give it a long pull like a weed whipper!

Same problem here ... 2008 C90T ... dealer no help ... in 3rd or 4th, ignition off, force it to roll backwards until you hear the piston shift ... should start then. Told it's the rear piston stopping at or near top dead center, but also told adjust the decompression will "solve" the issue; anyway, a rolling forward-start in 4th will work, too, otherwise try rolling the bike backwards until you hear, and you will know when the piston moves and then it will start.

Sounds like an ABS issue. Turn the key and check that the abs light comes on and goes off. if it doesn't then the bulb burned out. (make sure the truck has abs first!)
