Starting problem wife went to start the van after fillling with gas, and it would only make a clicking sound like the starter is stuck, also the speedometer would go all the way around to max speed after she tried to start it. I want to say the starter has gone out, but want a second opionion

It deffanitly sounds like either a starter or battery.
dont let the lights come on fool you if the voltage isant there it wont work.

HI youtube12 - IT sounds like your starter deed not disengage from the flywheel and
by you driving it caused the starter over heat and short out .
You need to have the electrical sys checked out before replacing starter. OK

That sounds like a starter issue. If the engine is clicking when you turn the key on it will be starter. If there is nothing when your turning key on it's probably battery or solenoid issue. Solenoid for starter is located attached to the side of your starter.

Mini van wont start

Sounds like starter selanoid, but first make sure battery connections are clean and tight, if sure they are then turn on headlights and try to start if still clicks and lights dim its starter.
