Sounds like the alternator/generator has bas seals and suffered damage in the rain.

The Kawasaki has a main fuse, located in the starter relay. Follow the red battery cable from the battery to a small plastic box. This box should have two large wires and a plastic cap, Under this cap is the main fuse. Pull that and see if it is blown and replace it if she is.

Probably a worn chain will cause that. Check your chain and sprockets.

Without knowing the bikes history, my guess would be that you have got oil involved. Sounds like you may have oil in the cylinders, and it WILL burn it off, eventually. Is the smoke a bluish, or more white? The blue is oil, the white is water. Is the unit more difficult to start than normal? If it doesn't start correcting itself very soon, I feel you should do more intense and involved inspection. Love these things, and really wish I was closer and could help you play with the repair. Best of luck.

I have a 2003 Ninja 636 that has been sitting for 3 years. I just changed the battery and added new gas to the old gas that has been in the tank for the last 3 years. It still wont start. Any trouble...

Sheeesh 3yr old gas is'nt gas any more, drain the tank and fill with 93 octane add injector cleaner. change spark plugs. Be prepared to charge battery. Good luck!

My 05 kawasaki ninja 636 will not start. the cluster lights come on and when i try to start the bike it makes a humming noise. it wont let me push start it either. it tries to push start but it just wont....

I am not familiar with Kawasaki's but with Suzukis you need to hold the clutch before yuo can start it. If this is the case and you are, then it might be the switch is defective or the wire has come loose. It might also be worth checking the kill switch is in the run position. The humming noise is the fuel pump priming and is normal

Engine swap 04 zx10r on a 06 zx 636 f

The frame mounting points are completely different. A zx 636 frame wraps around the motor where as a zx10r frame goes directly over the motor. That's how they keep the zx10r nimble enough to feel like a 600cc sport bike. But in this day and age if you have enough time and money you can accomplish anything. Honestly it's just easier to sell your 6 and buy a 1 liter.

Check the alternator brushes. My high reving YX600 used to go through a set every 5000 miles, and my bike would also just shut down.
