How to remove NC24 seat and fairings

Hi. How on earth do I remove the seat and rear fairing from my '87 NC24? Had a '30, and that was easy with the keylock in the rear hump. Not so on the earlier model though! Thanks in advance! Waz@

SOURCE: How do I remove the false gas tank on a 1984 honda goldwing

You can pick up a complete owners/service manual as well as the parts manual on cd. I got mine for my GL1100, then when I upgraded to my GL1200, I picked up another set from the same person.
Contact Wanda G at [email protected]. I believe she still sells the cd's for around $7.00 including the shipping anywhere in the US.
When I got mine, she included both the owners/service manual and the parts manual. Pretty big to download, at around 200mb.
Manuals are good enough, I just rebuilt my engine, and all 4 carbs and I'm no mechanic.

SOURCE: Hi, just wondered if you

G'day. On the 750's you could access the front plugs by removing the airbox top half(phillips screws around top of airbox). This is to say, remove air filter cover, air filter, black plastic upper half of airbox.(some then had a black plastic shield held in place by two hex bolts.remove bolts & cover to expose leads & plugs) Then you could get to them without removing the radiator top half.
Not sure, maybe yours is the same, otherwise off with the radiators.
(ahhhh RC-30 BEutifull)
hope this helps somewhat
Kind regards Andrew Porrelli

Honda ntv -v 650 trying to get seat off to recover

On the NTV 650 there should a key hole slot tucked under the rear tail fairings, (left side). The most common locations are...
-Tucked underneath the tail near the number plate mount.
-Tucked under the left side tail fairing, about level with the middle of the seat pad.
Some models with the built in Side boxes use the key hole for that as the seat release, (left side).
*Note* The seat pad release can become 'sticky' over time making it difficult to remove. You might need use your fingers to pull up on the rear edge of the seat to apply a bit of pressure on the release latch. You should feel it when it lets go! The seat should lift up and backwards to remove it.
*Note* When refitting the seat MAKE SURE the seat has locked down into position BEFORE you ride it.
These are a cable release system so if the bike's fairings have been modified for a different look it could be anywhere on the bike.
Some of the 700's have a thumb lever inside the left side box so check for that.

How do I remove the lower rear seat

Hi there on a 3 series there are two heavy duty clips that hold the seat down and they are located along the front edge of the seat right in the centre of where the left and right rear passengers would sit, on these two locations grab under the seat and pull upwards fairly hard and the front of the seat will pop up, once the front is up then scoop the seat out. hope this helps

How to adjust suspension stiffness ride is fairly

Pull off the plastic left side cover below the seat - go easy so you don't damage the tabs.
Remove the tool box cover.
Remove the tool box tray (2 bolts).
Use the tool provided in your OEM tool kit, and use the flattened tubular extension for more leverage.
Use gloves to save your knuckles.
Higher # stiffer - lower # softer.
A lot easier if you have a jack to get the weight off the rear wheel.
