Year for a older dirt bike

i have an older dirt bike and i cant seem to find the year anywere on the bike. i was told i could find out the year by the serial number. the serial number is 007562 and the vin number is 2w5-000971

If your vehicle is older than 1981 or if your VIN number is less than 17 digits then it wont be easy to date it. Your local yamaha dealer should be able to help you.

go to the website of what type of bike it is.they should be able to help or contact a dealer.
