i would have thought that the hoses would be the same unless there is a big difference in handlebar height. has someone put different risers on your bike?
or maybe goodridge hoses fu**ed up with their hose, it's too bad you cant find someone that has them in stock so you can measure it against what you need

Based on your serial number the frame is a 79 STANDARD XS11 (i.e. not a 79 SPECIAL)
Here are the line angles and measurements:
Banjo angles from 15* to 20* should fit fine.
M/C - 20-1/2" (1 line banjo bolt) angled banjo at the m/c, and a straight banjo on the "Y" splitter
"Y" splitter- (1 single line banjo bolt and one 2 line banjo bolt)
Front Calipers - 22-3/4" (1 banjo bolt each caliper) two angled banjos at the "Y"splitter and a straight banjo on ea. front caliper
Rear: 19" straight banjo at the m/c, and an angled banjo at the caliper

Hi Cape Cod Bob.
Thanks for your reply.
The year of the Bike is 1979
Colour Dark Blue
I am in the UK, But i was told that the bike was a USA import.
According to your link the closest match is the USA 1979 XS1100F (serial 2H7020101 with my Frame number 2H7027751)
any other parts i have ordered was for the XS1100F and these all fitted fine, however it is this top part of the front break hose that just does not match and we dont know why. somebody susgested it may be a USA style larger handel bar issue, if so then we do not know how to order the correct part.
Hi Cape Cod Bob.
Thanks for your reply.
As far as I am aware the bike is original.
I have received a local contact to get a new top pipe made, so i am going down this road at present, to get the bike back on the road. However it is confusing and somewhat annoying that the parts ordered did not suit, which can only lead me to think the bike is now not original.
Hi Cape Cod Bob.
Thanks for your reply.
We have emailed Wezmoto who supplied the Goodridge pipes with the required pipe length; however we have not had any response yet.
But as time goes on, it might just be bite the bullet time and pay over the nose locally to have a pipe made, just to get the bike back on the road.
Shame I know, but little other options.
Cant even find online a drawing or schematic of this pipe to check the correct length, just to see if what I have is correct.
Thanks anyway for all your help.
what year is it and what country are you in?
