After sitting over night.. when I try to start the truck, it cranks and cranks for 5 to 10 seconds, wether giving it gas, or not.. and then starts. idles fine. when applying any amount of throttle it completely cuts out, does this for approximately 5 minutes or so.. and then runs perfect for the rest of the day, until it sits a little while again. And then same thing all over. occasionally dies when backing out of a parking spot after initial starting.

sounds like a throttle position sensor. or perhaps a mass air flow sensor. let me kkow [email protected]

My car was doing the same thing. It would stall out while idling or even turning a corner. I ended up replacing a few sensors but the problem was the fuel injector pressure regulator. The check engine light never came on. It was leaking fuel through the vacuum side of the diaphragm. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the pressure regulator and if there are any traces of gasoline it needs to be replaced.

you need to replace your idle air control valve

take out your mass airflow sensor located on air intake pipe and clean with brake cleaner also is your engine light on?

on an additional note. I replaced the fuel filter, and a cracked vaccuum line.. to no avail. Still same issues, if not worse then before replacing fuel filter.
And also tried lucas fuel treatment, and injector cleaner.
