Checked spark, fuel, and compression. All seem OK. No OBDII codes. The car drove and just dies at an intersection. No warning.
If you find that the engine is dying at intersections and runs a rough and fluctuating idle at start up, and you also sometimes lose power even though the engine is running then it is probably your Air Flow Meter or sometimes reffered to as a Mass Airflow Sensor. Eventually, as the AFM deteriates further you will no longer be able to start the engine as the ECU can no longer get accurate flow readings to work out air fuel ratios and shuts it all down to stop damage occuring. 2 ways to fix, replace AFM or upgrade your ECU to one that is capable of running MAPs for air fuel ratio, rather than using a sensor. That is the assumption that I am working with: Fuel+Spark+Compression=Go. The car has 90+k miles so I picked up a new fuel pump and filter. I might be getting fuel but it might be at a low pressure. I can hear the pump cycle when the ignition is turned on. Stand by for updates when the pump is replaced.
I would recheck the spark, fuel. All engines reguardless of manufacture require air, fuel, and fire to run. one of them is missing. Are you saying that the car currently runs but dies at an intersection?
