Here is the firing order and spark plug wire routing diagram for a 2006 Chevy Impala LT 3.9 V6:
Firing order: 1-2-3-4-5-6
Spark plug wire routing (starting from the driver's side):
Cylinder 1: connect to the coil tower closest to the driver's side headlight
Cylinder 3: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 1
Cylinder 5: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 3
Cylinder 2: connect to the coil tower closest to the passenger side headlight
Cylinder 4: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 2
Cylinder 6: connect to the coil tower next to cylinder 4
Note: Make sure to route the wires properly to avoid cross-firing.
See page 20+. These saws are notorious for flooding at start. If it doesn't fire by the 3rd pull, stop, remove plug. If plug is wet its flooded. If dry, no fuel and as always, check it has spark.
I expect its flooding... a quick way to get the cylinder and crankcase cleared is to remove the spark plug AND AIR FILTER. Use low pressure air (~10 psi) into the plug hole for a few seconds. reinstall plug. Follow starting instructions.
If it floods again, repeat clear cylinder/crankcase, and follow starting instructions but don't use decompress.

My sincere apologies for the delayed response. I am personally going back to answer your unanswered questions. I do not know if you have the 1.6L or 2.0L Engine or if your engine has the Overhead Cam or not. I have included all the Diagrams below.
For the 1.6L: Firing Order: 1-3-4-2 Cylinders: (back of engine) 1.....2.....3.....4 (front of engine) Distributor: (back) ..(+)-screw ............2 1 .................4 ........3 ...............(+)-screw (front)
For the 2.0L WITHOUT the Overhead Cam: Firing Order: 1-3-4-2 Cylinders: (back of engine) 1......2......3......4 (front of engine) Distributor: ......(back) ........4 2..........(+)-screw (+)..........3 ......1 ....(front)
For the 2.0L WITH the Overhead Cam: Firing Order: 1-3-4-2 Cylinders: (back of engine) 1......2.....3......4 (front of engine) Ignition Connections: ........(back) ...o <---4 ......o <---1 ............... .......o <----3 ..........o <----2 .........(front)
Again my apologies... Let me know if this helped...
