Give the machine a proper service and clean out the carbs. Petrol goes off and a part of it evaporates leaving a nasty sludge behind. This will cause bits to block the jets. It is also worth emptying the fuel tank and flushing it out with a little bit of fresh fuel. Then refill with fresh fuel.

Hi,
has the bike sat for any length of time? If so, the carbs need cleaned. Regardless of what you put in the tank, they'll need to be removed and cleaned. Since the bike is 14 years old, I'd guess they're due.

Also, check the petcock and tank for rust.

Td

GSXR 600 K1 Won't start tries to fire up and the exhaust pops but that's all

Based off of the limited information, the solutions are going to be generalized.

Visually check your battery for any acid build up. If you spot any, obviously some acid remove would be called for. Acid can sap a battery's output to a starter.

Visually inspect fuel components. Fuel injectors on bikes tend to get clogged when they sit for a while. Especially on older models. Refer to a repair guide for your specific model for guidance on the procedure to inspect fuel injectors.

Those two common starting problems for bikes. Without more information it is hard to offer a specific solution.

Hi, Paulrmevarez and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel cap or fuel tank is not venting properly.
2. Fuel filter clogged.
3. Fuel line pinched or kinked.
4. Vacuum line from the petcock to intake manifold cracked.
5. Float needle and seat sticking.
6. Float level too low.
7. Carburetor bowl vent line clogged/blocked/pinched.
8. Idle adjusting screw set too low.
9. Air/fuel mixture screw set too lean.

Suzuki 750 Katana Hoses?

Hi, Alexander always check your service manual for proper routing, PVC type valves, and vent lines allow the following components to breathe freely:
1. Gas caps.
2. Gas tanks.
3. Carburetors.
4. Lead acid batteries.
5. Evap canisters.
6. Engine crankcases.
7. Rocker boxes.
8. Transmissions.
Numbers 2-3-4 have vent lines that are routed directly to the ground usually 2" below the lowest part of the frame and loosely secured with stanchions/stand-offs or tie wraps. These lines have minimal curves and their ends do not attach to anything "WARNING" these lines should be inspected at every maintenance service for end clogging or closure pinching or kinking or missing altogether.
Failure to properly inspect and maintain vent lines may lead to:
1. Gas tank implosion.
2. Improper float levels.
3. Batteries exploding.
4. Blown crankcase and transmission seals.
5. Air cleaner oil saturation.
