Depending on the model you may need to take it to a dealer, as some need a special tool to reset the computer and it is very expensive.

BMW X5 fuel gauge doesnt register gas in tank

Very expensive. Try all of the above. If they all fail then last resort is a complete system reset. Disconnect battery for 8 hrs. Reconnect and start car. Do not lock doors or else leave a window open when you do this. Car will not unlock or allow you to open any hood liftgate etc without battery.

German cars are weird. Changing a battery can disable many things. It will have to be reset by computer. Don't be surprised if you have to go to the stealer dealer for that.

Bmw 2007 gs 1200 fuel gauge problems

Hi, Richard for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. Fuel gauge stuck on empty bmw compac 325ti 2001 model

There are a couple of things it can be, either there is a bad gauge, or the float in the gas tank is sticking. If the gauge is good you will have to drop the gas tank and repair the float. hope this helps

I have a 1997 BMW Z3 roadster. I filled my tank drrove a mile and the gas gauge falls back to empty. What could possibly be the problem

Could be a short in a wire from your fuel gauge to the fuel tank where the actual fuel gauge sending unit is probably located.

2002 BMW 325 gas gauge problem?

Those vehicles have to sending units. Your fuel signal is buferred ( calculate) so it takes both signals to make your gauge accurate. sounds like one them is out of range causing your gauge to read icorrect. You do need to take to your nearest BMW shop, so it can be properly diagnose.
