SOURCE: My Kawasaki Z750 has a red warning light flashing

It actually says "FI" for fuel injection. It is the equivalent of the check engine light in your car. There is a problem with the fuel injection system that will need to be addressed by the dealer.

i hope this helps

1981 kawasaki 440LTD. Engine oil light stays on. Oil pump good, Sending unit appears OK. Bike runs strong, can't find the problem. Need help

Well if your oil light is staying lit, but your oil pressure is good and you cant find any problems with the actual oiling of the bike, then this sounds basically like either A.Your sending unit is bad or B. You have a ground in your oil sending unit circuit somewhere. You could always replace the sending unit first to save time shooting the wiring harness.if you replace the unit and the light is still on, then you have a wire touching in the circuit between the sending unit and the warning light. I have an 81 KZ750 and my oil sending unit only has one wire going from it to the warning light and the color of it is Blue with a Red Stripe.I am not sure if yours has the same wiring colors though.

My 1999 kawasaki wont start it is a kx 150

Spray quick Start into the carbs and try start, if it fires there is a fuel problem and the carbs and fuel supply need to be checked. If it does not fire use a timing light and look to see if it flashes when you try start the bike. If it does not flash there is a problem with the ignition system. Have you tried a new spark plug?

Kawasaki Kit ECU on '07 ZX-6R race bike

Hi, Simon_mcaule the answer to this question is way above my pay grade for this situation, I would call or visit my local dealer or reputable race shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. Not being able to pull codes really puts you in the dark, could be a faulty connection in the ignition circuit or you may have a temperamental ECM that doesn't like aftermarket performance parts, a face to face with your fuel tuner may also be in order.

It starts and runs perfect but no headlight horn

first... check to make sure you don't have blown fuse.. using an electrical tester also, pierce the wire going into the units(if testing blinkers.. horn.. etc.. make sure you actually turn the blinker or horn on etc) this will tell you if you're getting power to them.. if no power trace wire back to connectors with the tester, checking connections etc... (you can get the electrical tester for about $5, clips onto battery and has small light that turns on when it's getting current to where you pierce the wires)

Kawasaki z1000 wont start and the f1 light flashes

The flashing FI is telling you that the Fuel Injection computer has detected a problem in the system. Some problems are minor (dirty air filter) and the computer will still allow the bike to run. Some problems are major (plugged up injectors) and the computer will not allow the engine to start. You will need to have a dealer check the computer diagnostic reading to find out where the problem is.
Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?

Do you have an owners manual ? If not get one from your dealer, it' an invaluable tool....is your oil level so low your settin off a warning and the computer is smart enough not to let you start a dry engine ? There are troubleshooting tips in the manual....otherwise get it to your dealer, that bike is too new to be having unwarranted problems....Good Luck to you friend...Tim
