The speedo on my SYM eurojet 50 doesn't work, it always stays on zero. Any help?

As with all bikes, if the speedo isn't working it depends on the type. If electronic then could be a faulty sensor or pick up, but if cable type (which yours more than likely is) it could be a broken cable.
Unscrew the speedo connection at the front wheel and remove the inner metal cable. It should come out in one piece with the end parts attached. If it doesn't then it will need replacing. If it wont come out at all then the inner and outer will be a "one piece" unit. In which case spin the end with thumb and forefinger see if it registers on the readout. If it doesn't it will need replacing as the cable is faulty. If it does register then it may be the drive that is faulty. This is where you unscrewed it from the wheel.
Here's what one looks like:

1978 delta 88 speed cable not working

start at the beginning, at the tranny to see if spedo drive is working ,this is no easy task you need to DO THIS SAFELY jack up rear wheels in the air, chuck front wheels PLEASE !!! PLEASE take all nessary safety percautions when doing this ,remove cable going to tranny , with 2 people put it in drive ,with foot on brake and let wheels move very slowly you should see speedo cable drive moving , if not that's your problem replace speedo drive but also check the ends of cable, they should fit very good without much loosness into speedo and the drive side going in , most are shaped in a square with slightly rounded corrners,if it works reattach cable to drive and remove cable from back of speedo and see if cable is moving ,if not cable is broken somewhere ,if that works then its your speedo that is broke. i wish you good luck ,hope this helped .

Do you need to lubricate anything when replacing front wheel

You should at least grease the spindle, clean the spacers and seals, if you have speedo drive fitted, apply some grease to the drive wheel area, before reasembly

How do I fit a new wheel to a silvercross Durham Rose

There's a little tab on the wheel hub that you have to pull, whilst at the same time pulling the wheel off along the hub, fitting is a reverse of the instructions. Hope this helps.

I want to install a front speedo drive on my 1970 flh harley and im not sure what drive the speedo drive when its on the axle

Your speedometer is driven by the transmission on your '70 model FLH. But, if you want to put a front wheel speedo drive on the bike, first take a look at a bike that has a front wheel speedo drive. You'll notice that the hub right where the axle goes through has a "notch" in it and the speedo drive has a "tab" that goes into the notch. As the wheel turns, the hub turns the speedo drive. This is how it works.

Now, you have two problems, One is that you need a speedo drive that has the spacer built into it so that you can eliminate a spacer on one side of the hub. Next, is the ratio of the speedo drive. The ratio of the speedo drive must match the speedo or the indicated speed will be incorrect. The speedo ratio for your FLH is probably 1:1 since it's a transmission driven speedo.

Good luck

The speedo on my 1992 xr250r doesnt work, cable and speedo r fine, how do i remove and check the part of the speedo that is mounted on the front wheel

First, remove the lower end of the speedo cable from the speedo gear box on the front axle. Then, lift the front wheel off the ground and remove the wheel. To remove the speedo-drive gear box, unscrew the axle nut that holds it in place. With the speedo-drive removed, inspect the two flanges that fit into the slots on the wheel hub, making sure they haven't gotten bent - or sheared off. When you turn flange on the speedo-drive, it should turn freely and you should be able to see the speedo cable drive-blade spinning. If not, then you will need to replace the whole unit because the worm gear inside has become excessively worn.

My speedo an my millage stopped working on my gillara runner 125 what do i do to check it

Unfortunately, unless you're a wizzard you'll need to get you're mechanic to change the speedo drive, the lead you see coming out of your front wheel area. Don't know how much it cost's as my mechanic did the damage in the first place!
