Hi, Colin for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix/test or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. For more information about your issue please visit the website below. Good luck and have a nice day. 2009 Aprilia Tuono Front Brake Bleed

I have a ford escort xr3i 1988 i have replaced the brake master cylinder, bleed the brakes but still have no brakes what could be wrong?

Your car has a diagonally split brake system. Each side of this system must be bled as an individual system, and there is a correct bleeding sequence to be followed. First bleed the right rear brake, second, bleed the left front brake, then follow with the left rear brake and lastly, bleed the right front brake. Here's a link on a repair guide for bleeding your brakes. Brake pedal pressure low after replacing and bleeding rear brakes

i dont know what this car is but it sounds like you need to adjust the rear brakes and also there may be air still in the sytem, there are many cars that cross brake systems so if you are working on the left rear wheel you would also need to bleed the right front wheel, heres what i would do make sure to fill the brake fluid and always keep an eye on the level as you are bleeding the brakes, start at the right rear wheel and bleed it a few times then move to the left rear wheel, bleed that then go to the right front and bleed that one and last is the left front and that should solve ant air in the system problem, also make sure there are no leaks in any of the brake lines. good day.

Changed both front (rears are drums and did not change) brake calibers and pads on my 1998 F150 pickup 2 wheel drive. In doing so I let the master cylinder go empty. How do I bleed the brakes now. I have...

your probably going to have to bleed the entire system.1st try & bleed the master cyl.
basicly the same as you would bleed the front/rear brakes. pump pedal & hold while someone
loosen the brake line on the master cyl. after m/c is bleed move to r/r,l/r,r/f,l/f wheels in
that order. if you have abs brakes & you got air in the pump a scan tool may be needed
to bleed properly.

it sounds like there is still air in the brake system that has not been removed.you don`t say if you replaced the brake pads and shoes(in which case you shouldn`t need to bleed)or you replaced a brake line(s) or wheel cylinder or caliper.you will have to keep bleeding the brakes all 4 wheels(trucks don`t use bi-directional braking meaning right rear brakes with left front and so on).bleed both rear brakes then bleed both front brakes, was this problem there before you replaced the brakes(soft pedal noticed) and this is why you changed the brakes or the pedal was soft and the brakes needed changing.its possible that the master cylinder has an internal leak and may need replacing.

Brake problem spongy brake pedal pedal goes down replaced front pads and master cylinder and wheel cylinder and bleed lines

try bleeding them more, start with the right rear, then left rear, then right front ,then left front, always bleed the brake that is furthest from the master cylinder, sometimes you have to bleed them several times until you get a steady stream of brake fluid.

Is there a bleeding sequence for a 1990 Toyota Four Runner? We replaced one front driver side brake line and both calipers and we cannot seem to get it to bleed properly. Thanks

normally, the brakes are bled starting from the furthest brake to the closest with respect to the master brake cylinder. the sequence is : right rear, left rear, right front, left front. pump the brakes until pressure is built up. do this rather slowly. while keeping downward pressure on the pedal, open the bleed screw slowly. the pedal will go to the floor. hold the pedal on the floor and tighten the bleed screw. do this until no air is observed. keep the reservoir. repeat with the rest of the brakes following in sequence

No front brakes on 94 dodge 4x4 1/2 ton

is your abs light on. sometimes the anti lock brakes malfunction, if fkuid comes out when bleeding the front brakes then you probably have a leak the master cyl has a plastic resivior. look at the vase of the tank where it plugs into the master if you move it and see fluid you are leaking bexause of the wrong part. sen this a lot. also if no fluid comes out when bleeding front brakes you have a bad rubber line. just some thing
s to check.

Unable to bleed front brakes

loosen the front brake line that goes to the master cylinder fill master cylinder up with fluid and bleed it first by attaching a flexible line from master cylinder front brake side submerge that line into jar of brakefluid keeping air from entering line get someone to pump brake pedal while ur holding line in a jar keep refilling the brake resivoir so no air gets in, once the master is bled front brake side then reattach the origional brake line then remove bleed screw from caliper and let fluid gravity flow down to calliper then bleed the normal way. more than likely your master cylinder has air trapped in the front portion good luck
