Not cooling

Just bought a summit Wine cellar model SWC 1965. Powers on, can hear it running, control panel lit up and functioning, not cooling. Current tem is 70 degrees F. Brand new, but purchased at an auction. Told by company it is not under warranty as it was not sold by an authorized dealer. What can I do to fix it?

SOURCE: Wine Cooler Does NOT get cool.

Here is the web site to locate your closest oster service center. They should be able to tell you what their charge will be up front so that you can compare that charge to the cost of a new one.

Now days, sadly, many of these items are too costly to repair so they go to the landfill..

SOURCE: My kool space wine cellar is not holding temperature

has the cellar ever worked right in your home? These small refrigeration units basically move heat from a conditioned space to another space that is not objectionable such as your home where your central air system then moves the btu's. This being said, the cellar has a ventilation system that must pull in room air and push out the box air. these vents must be clean and clear of obstrucions to ensure proper performance by the equipment

The wine cooler doesn't seem to be cooling light goes on when you open door so pretty sure it has electricity to it?

Can you hear it running? If there is a question, leave the door open and remain there until you hear it start. This may take up to 15 minutes.
What do you have the control on? Wine coolers ar not refrigerators. (White) wine typically served at cellar temp (around 50 to 55 degrees. My friend, please don't tell me you are chilling quality Reds! You are killing them.

Cooling unit is running, but interior is not cool.

How long have you had this unit and did it quit suddenly or did it fail intermittently. Do you mean running where you can hear the fan and the light comes on when you open the wine cellar door? If so, I would suspect the starting relay failure on your cooler which should be very easy to replace. There should be a wiring diragram on the back of your unit somewhere and could be labeled (RT). Your compressor would be the last thing I would suspect.

My wine cellar (Model: ow0912H6H) still runs but it does not cool. What can I do? I don't believe that there is a compresser in ot. I don't know what cools it.

I had the same problem and noticed that the lint screen behind the cooler was full of lint where it was almost completely clogged. I vacummed it and it seems to have done the trick.

Wine cooler does not get cool - fans do not run the light and temperature display do work

if you hear the compressor tun on but not the fan, replace the fan and you may have to defrost the evaporator coils. if the compressor does not turn on either, it's the thermostat, the defrost timer, or a relay on the main board.

Kitchenaid Wine Cellar-model # KUWS2246EBLO Power on switch does not turn on cooling compressor. Lite will come on.

Try tapping on the thermostat it is probably sticking.
If it comes on then you will need to replace the thermostat.
Check the start relay on the compressor.
Check the fan motor on the compressor is it running?
Clean lint from underneath on the condensing coil.

Fan doesn't work on oster wine cellar

First question, do you have power to the unit and the cooling fan is not working? If this is the problem then sounds like one of the two fuses in back panel has burnt out.

Cuisinart Private Reserve wine cellar

It is normal. The goofy thing about this wine cellar is that once the ambient temperature is above 70 degrees - which is actually a low room temperature - the fan works constantly. You would have to make sure the wine cellar is in an area that stays below 68 degrees (brrrr) for it to shut off sometimes.
