Question about 2000 Suzuki VL 1500 Intruder LC
I put in a new battery and the battery will not keep a charge.
The problem is likely in your Alternator. Depending on the make, year, and model of your bike, you may be able to remove that alternator to have it tested - but it is not very likely that it is easily accessible ( my Goldwings alternator is super buried!) If you have a portable volt meter, you can clamp onto the battery terminals and start the bike- anything under 13 volts indicates a bad component in your alternator.
Best of luck!!
