SOURCE: hoes parrtern for a 1995 suzuki katana gas tank.

there should be a vacuum hose coming from carb 4 that goes to the port on the rear of the petcock. as for the other 2 they are feed lines the 1 facing the rear of the bike goes to a hose between carb 1 and 2 and the 1 facing the front of the bike goes on the hose between carbs 3 and 4. the 2 remaining hoses on the carbs get criss crossed across the carbs and draped down thru the holders on the frame they are just overflow tubes incase you dump your bike. the other hose on the tank is a vent tube. hope this is helpful.

Hi guys i just recently bought a suzuki gsx 600 f 1991 can anyone show me a picture or something when is the gas (FUEL) valve opened and closed on the bike it worked perfectly now it wont start. ...

As far as I know the fuel is vacuum fed to the carbs, did you take the fuel tank off & forget to connect all the pipes going to it? One is the vacuum pipe for the carbs.

93 Suzuki Katana GSX 600 fuel issues?

You need to check and see if you are getting fuel from the tank into your carbs, if you pull the line that feeds the petcock valve off the top gas should come out. If it doesnt there is a clog in your tank. Now pull the line off the bottom of the petcock valve (this feeds your carbs) and make sure you have fuel at all setting of the petcock valve except for off. If you dont then you probably have a bad petcock valve. If you are getting fuel from the petcock vavle into you carbs then there is a problem with your carbs.

If you take the fuel bowl drain screw out of the carb (located on the bottom). Gas should run out of the associated carb, if it doesn't, then you have something stuck in the carb and one carb not working correctly can make the bike not run. If you find this to be the problem get a can of carb cleaner, take the fuel bowl drain screw out and let the gas run out, stick the red spray wand from the can of cleaner into the hole and flush your carbs out really good.

Then give it a try. Make sure that the connection between your carbs and head is tight while you are there. If that does not fix your problem you may ahve to pull the carbs and take a closer look.

Need connection pictures from the carburators to the tank

http://www.metal-fab.net/files/1988-1997-GSX600-750-1100F-R.pdf complete service manual download but to make it easier for you.... short line between carbs 1 and 2 goes to the rear facing nipple on petcock. line between carbs 3 and 4 goes to the front facing nipple on the petcock and the vacuum line on the side of carb 4 goes to the nipple on the petcock that is facing away from the fuel knob. the 2 other lines on the carbs are just float bowl overflows that get criss crossed across the carbs and draped down the sides they are only there to keep the gas from flooding your motor if you dump your bike. hope this helps

Vacuum line not connected correctly

ok fuel fill lines are the 2 lines between carbs 1 n 2 and 3 n 4 toward the rear of the bike the 2 hoses coming out just in front of them are float bowl overflows that just get criss crossed over the carbs and ran thru the little holders on the frame. the only vacuum line is coming out of the side of carb 4, this line goes to the nipple on the petcock facing away from the knob. as for the fill lines the 1 between 1 n 2 goes to the nipple facing the rear of the bike and 3 n 4 goes to the 1 facing the front of the bike. hope this helps here is a link for a free service manual download. http://www.files.michaelmcmahon.org/1988-1997-GSX600-750-1100F-R.pdf try using www.katriders.com it is a lot more helpful than this site for katana issues.
