Harley's Formula + or Syn 3. Syn 3 can be used in the oil tank, primary housing and transmission. Trans will take just shy of a quart.

I personally run 80-90 gear oil but some manufacturers recommend 30 grade for their boxes ( straight mineral oil) best check it out at a service dealer centre.

HELLO, My name is Timothy and I got a motor repaired for the Hobart H 600 stand mixer and I need to ask one Question. What is the gear oil that this model takes as I lost some of the gear oil during...

Planetary takes six ounces 150 weight gear oil if completely drained (i.e. Exxon Spartan EP 150 or equivalent). Transmission uses one gallon 460 weight (yeah, 460 weight!) gear oil (Exxon Spartan EP 460 or equivalent).

If you are talking about the transmission oil , 10w-40 JASO MA motorcycle oil will work. Most racers will use either an 80 wt (weight) motorcycle gear oil or for the racers edge a 70 wt motorcycle gear oil to increase the life of the aluminum plates in the clutch and help preserve the transmission gears.

Can i use transmission oil on a polo classic 1.8i (1997 - 1999) model gearbox? because i used gear oil and now my gears are even harder to get in.

Is it an automatic transmission or manual. Most new vehicles require low weight oils like 5w20 or less like Automatic Transmission oil, If you added gear oil you might have already damaged the transmission, IF you are able to drain all the fuild out, and replace the Transmission Filter and Gasket you might be able to salvage it.

Not knowning the reason for you adding this oil to the transmission i can not offer any more help.

What kind of oil i can used for hobart d300

Transmission uses #0 weight grease, best to get direct from Hobart (their grease is the correct weight and approved by U.S. FDA & USDA as safe for use in food equipment) but if you insist on not doing so, at least obtain an Extreme Pressure #0 grease and don't overpack the transmission, I believe it should have 35 oz. if memory serves right.

Uses a heavier grease for the planetary gear, use #2 weight. Don't need much, just a light coat on the planetary gear.

Bowl lift rails use medium weight oil, again use food grade oil supplied by Hobart.

Transmission fill how much oil and weight

As in any gearbox the weight of the oil is reasonably important as this regulates spin of rotary parts, keeps thing at certain temperatures and obviously reduces wear and tear... However washing machines spin at fairly low R'sPM so the viscosity(or weight) doesn't really matter. To fill simply pour enough oil so that you can just see the suface of the oil in the hole, possibly using a flashlight or, feeling with a finger or bent wire.
