SOURCE: motor bike wont rev above idle weth choke on

This to me sounds like you need a carb cleaning. If you have let the bike sit for an extended time the carberators maybe clogged or gummed up. This has to do with the new gas that is out there now. It is cheap and with the introduction of Ethanol alcohol now it is even worse on being stable for long periods of time. I have seen fuel go bad in as little as 3 weeks.. One quick check you can do is open you fuel tank and smell the fuel. IF it smells like varnish it is probably bad. You can drain the tank and add new fuel and that should solve your problem. Keep in mind, that the carbs need to be drained as well to get the old fuel out of there also. Make sure you have a battery charger going when you start crankin that puppy, because you will need lots of extra juice to get that baby to fire up. If it is starting now and runs on choke, that means your idle jets are clogged. Best repair is to remove carbs and clean idle jet. Unless it is fuel injected.
Let me know how that goes and we can proceed from this point. I am a certified mechanic from MMI as well as a HDTV GURU. Smiles. have a good one.

SOURCE: wont run /idle

i'd start with removing the carbs and giving them a thorough cleaning as when bikes sit for so long, the carbs begin to get gummy/varnished from the old gas.

check for blocked holes in the pilot jet & main jet and look for "hard & dried up" gas in passages. be careful of the float bowl gasket as to not tear it or you will need a replacement.

SOURCE: my fzr genises misfires at 4000 to 5000 then wont rev past

Have you checked if the EXUP valve is working? It should cycle when you turn the ignition on.
If it's stuck in the closed position it will be choking the engine in the way you describe

Why does husqvarna 123hd60 bogs on revs

Mix up some "carburetor & fuel injector cleaner" in a batch of fuel, Nathan, at the rate specified on the bottle of cleaner. Run it through the hedge trimmer just like normal fuel. For right NOW, you can use the choke to keep the trimmer running. As the cleaner works, you should need less & less choke to keep it going.

It may take a while.

Next time you store that trimmer for winter, drain it fully and run it until it dies from lack of fuel. Then it won't form varnish on the carburetor jets over the winter - that varnish is what's causing your problems now.

When i hit the throttle hard it bogs down it also wont rev past 6,000 rpm

When you say it won't rev past 6k what happens? Does it bog down and eventually choke itself out?

sounds like the carb needs a good cleaning. Have you replaced the fuel and air filter? If you take the air filter off does it run better or worse?

Jets in the carb may need blowing out,do not try to put anything in them, just use compressed air and solvent, sometimes dirt collects in the float bowl and when the carb is removed for cleaning it finds its way into the jets, sounds like the idle jet is blocked

well mine is stock, just fiddled with it today. took all 4 air/fuel screws out, they werent junked or anything. put them back in at 2 turns out, adjusted the choke properly, and finally put in the new set of plugs i got.

so after a bit of fiddling i got it started, i had to hold the choke all the way out to keep it running (barely) turned the idle way up to get it to stay running. wont rev past 3-4 grand. turned all the a/f screws out to 3 turns out, which is where most of them were before. and there was no noticable difference in the way it ran. finally noticed one of the carbs was overfilling (leaking out the bypass) so i turned the fuel valve and let it run out.

It's a 1993 and it starts idles revs fine. But when u put it in gear it bogs down. Is it jettig or air or what?

First place I'd check is the carbs - make sure the choke isn't engaged!
Choke on = easy start + easy idle + easy revs + bog under load.

Too much air (hole in the airbox, hose off the airbox) can do this too.

Check for a loose connection by the carb. Sounds like its sucking air.
