Fuel injection light staying on

We have a 05 suzuki c90 boulevard, we live in NB Canada, started it up on a warm day a week ago, the fuel injection light came on and stayed on and the fi is flashing in the info center below speedometer, whats causing it and how do we reset?

I also have the same problem. I took my 06 M50 in and had diagnostics ran on it. They said the mass air flow sensor in the airbox was out. So i bought a new one and replaced it. Nothing changed. The FI light still blinks. I even unhooked the battery thinking maybe it had to reset or something...

So I am going to have to take it in again and have them diagnose it again. Hopefully they get it right this time...

@C90T K6 Man I almost feel like your first paragraph is condescending! It is quite absurd to think that we might believe the FI light is telling us something is going extremely well and it wanted to tell us! I can't even think of a name for this site had that been the case!
The rest of your info is awesome though! So, I give you 18 thumbs up! I looked up the part number for the mode selector switch. It shows up as being 13 bucks here. The manual on the other hand is a different story...at least for myself. I wasn't able to find any manual, let alone a Clymer's manual online for my bike. I was able to find one for an '05 C90, but it's not a Clymer. So, gdh6 is in luck. The manual is only 28 bucks here. I'd assume that it details out the trouble codes that would result from utilizing the mode selector switch. Seems like that would be important content NOT to have in a manual.
Yes, I wrote a novel of a post with mostly useless information. The only thing you got were links that took less than one minute via goog. Enjoy! Mwahaha!

I know a way for anyone to obtain the fault code for their Suzuki. All you need is a paperclip. I have done this on my bike and it worked like a charm. I figured out what sensor was throwing up the flag, and now I know what I need to do to fix it. You can email me at RTHowse@gmail.com if you want to know more about this. This applies to all newer Suzukis (2005+).

The Fi light and indicator mean there is something in your fuel injection, or ignition systems, that isn't right, and it has left a trouble code (just like your cars engine light).

You either need to take it to your local dealer/cycle shop and get the bike looked at, or get a "mode selector switch" from your dealer (part# 09930-82710), get a Clymers manual, hook the switch up to where the manual says to (a plug just under the steering head covers), get the trouble code, and cross check it with what it says in the Clymers manual.
From there the manual should tell you what to do to narrow down what your problem is.

Good Luck.

I have Suzuki Boulevarb M109 1800 2008 MODEL. My F1 light has also come on. On my own inspection i have found a plug(white) with 4 wires going into it under the tank i stand under correction think it could be a yellow and red wire. This specific wire in the plug i see when the plug is pushed in the wire does not connect but pushes out although not easy seen by the eye. I have not taken it further but will keep the concerned bikers updated. If anyone has other good logic explanations please e mail me at clivegraskie@yahoo.com

After about 45 min.ride my 05 c90 loses most of its power the fuel injection light comes on and I have to limp home. When the bike cools down it runs fine again

Mine used to do and after the shop had it a different days without finding a solution. I asked someone who used to own his own shop, who said to add a new ground, I did and I have not had the issue since. My fuel pump would lose power after the bike got warm. Maybe this wil help. jaxeagle

2005 Suzuki c90 Boulevard, started bike up after sitting since last fall, (we live in NB, Canada) the fuel injection light comes on and stays on...why? how do I reset?

You can reset by disconnecting the battery for about half an hour, but the gaskets on the fuel system have been dry for a couple of months, and in turn have shrunk, this would cause the pressure to drop, and you may need to re-tighten all the screws on the feul pump, rail etc. Hope that helps!
