i assume you mean that when trying tio shift the bike into gear, you cant seem to get out of nuetral. or that the gear shift is simply stuck in sosition and you are not able to move the shift lever at all.

depending on which problem you are having, I would most likely assume that you have a bent shift fork in the gear change mech. if a form is bent it will not engage the shift srum properly, if at all.

pleasae specify EXACTLY what you problem is in terms you best understande and i will do my best to get you rolling again.

You can't get gears > as in your foot shift lever won't allow you to change gears or as in "I busted two different gears and I can't find new parts"?
.
If it's parts then ask around for a local motorcycle junk yard. If it is the shift lever the problem is a bent shift fork or two. Replacing shift forks is not a job for a novice. It is a major repair requiring the engine be removed then torn down and reassembled.

While riding i just changed into third gear when my back wheel locked, now cant select any gear.cr250

Sounds like a couple of bent shift forks. The engine will need to be torn down to get to the gears and shift forks.

Hi there. i have a 1991 honda cr250, struggling to find gears or neutral, sometimes they click in and somtimes they don't. can't find 4th or 5th gear at all.. can anyone help!thanks shorty .

You have a couple of bent shift forks. Not a repair for the novice. The problem will not get better only worse. Obviously the dealer can handle it but $$$$ will dance in your head. Ask around for a bike repair guy in your area. Often a dealer mechanic also repairs bikes at his home. This will mean about 1/2 the dealer cost.

Hi there anyone, can't get any gears on my honda cr250 1991 model .please help .thanks shorty.

If you mean that you can't shift into any gears from neutral then you have a bent shift fork. Did you strike a small tree on the left side of the bike while riding in the woods? Bumped the gearbox on a large rock? Is the foot shift lever bent at all?.... Replacing a bent shift fork is easy if you have the special tools and the know-how to do it. Most riders would shy away from attempting it. You would need to remove the engine then tear it down into about 75 pieces to get to the bad fork. Check the gear sets operated by the bent fork. If gear dogs are broken then it is best to replace the broken gear and the gear it engages with.
