From such a general statement I can only give a general response - it's broken. I need specific details to provide a specific answer. How long has it been acting this way? How many miles on the motorcycle? Have you done any maintenance recently? What rpm are you having the problem at? Have you checked to make sure the bike has gas and oil in it? What about spark plugs and caps? Air filter & fuel filter? Does it run well when it is not moving and only act up while driving it? What is the condition of your battery?

Buell Blasts have a known issue involving the carb boot. If the bike is a couple of years old check out the rubber spacer/conector which is betwwen the carb and the engine. Chances are that it is cracked and allowing air to enter direcly. This will cause your bike to sputter and have starting issues. Chck this out first and if it is not this then check the spark plug what color is the ceramic electrode and tip. This will tell you alot about what is going on inside the engine. The carb boot is a cheap fix less than 20 bucks. Good luck

Is it back firing, dying on you, and will it ride???

if the bike dies when you put it into gear and try to ride, you most likely have a carb/fi prob, or it could be a simple as bad gas,.

if the bike was stored with fuel in it then i bet its the latter,

drain the fuel and start fresh.
you will most likely need a carb clean.

i would also try using a VERY small amt of
BG products "44K." fuel injection cleaner.
this stuff is very strong so use with care!!!

Hi, Al-bar and the usual suspects are:
1. Idle speed improperly adjusted.
2. Inlet system air leak.
3. Leaking accelerator pump.
4. Loose low-speed jet.
5. Plugged low-speed jet.
6. Contaminated or plugged low-speed circuit.
7. Enrichner valve is not seated or leaking.

Why does the float stick on the carbs every time I use reserve?

One carb or both? Looks like you have crap in the tank and when you get to the last dregs its carrying down to the carb(s). Reserve uses the last bit but normal run will take fuel from a higher level, hence cleaner running. Get a flashlight and have a look in the tank, but drain and flush it anyway.

2001 ultra classic fuel injected Problem: I parked the bike and covered it up but forgot to add stabilizer to the fuel bike has set for about 3 months with battery tender on it. It started but ran...

Check fuel pressure. It should be in the region of 55 - 65 lbs.in After that ignition system needs to be checked. Does it run badly on both cylinders or just one? If one only then fuel pressure probably o/k.

Gsxr turns on but dosent kick over then battery runs flat even with jumpstart

take the old battery out and hook a full battery directly to the terminals .the old battery could be so bad ,it will "load" down another battery.or use a pair of jumper cables and a car battery even better

THE RPM DOSENT GO MORE THAN 2000 AND IT DOSENT RAN AS IT USE TO CHANGED FUIE PNMP AND PSARK PLUGS AND ITS THE SAME?

try running some Seafoam in the bike first..it wont run to well of course as you described... but try to get at least 20 miles on it and see if that doesn't fix it. if that didn't fix it, then one of the jets in the carb is loose or fell off.

Oil is creamy but coolent is fine dosent smoke has been sitting in garden for nearly a year?

Creamy oil means there is water/moisture in it
Maybe from a cracked head, or a bad head gasket

Maybe from condensation but don't run it until you find out Moisture can destroy your bearings

Drain the oil, change the filter, refill the crankcase with diesel, start and run for 1 MINUTE, drain oil, change filter, refill with the proper oil, run for 5 minutes, don't ride it just run it slightly above idle
IF your oil is still milky you have a big problem

Low Fuel Cutting

ill fill up tomorrow morning. I slowed down to take a left hand turn. As soon as i started turning the bike started to cut out and hiccup like mad. I rode the corner out clutch in while giving it full wrist to keep it alive. As soon as the bike straightened back up it came back to life. It rained yesterday pretty hard so i drove to work but i bet $1000 dollars that if i fill it up today it will ride fine again. So the question is...clogged fuel filter, fuel pickup, fuel line? My guess is crap on the bottom of the tank and when low the fuel pickup is choking/starving on the sediment in turns. So im just throwing this out there, to see if anyone thinks this the right diagnosis. Thanks for any input.,Thats exactly what happens when you run out of fuel... so it could be a bad filter or pickup clogged.,,,
