Hi Anonymous, you would have to fabricate 3/4" adapters to go into the axle slots unless they come with the conversion kit. Good luck

Wide tire kits can be added to this frame but you will need to run an extended drive sprocket and altered sprocket cover, or a jack shaft drive system to do it. In my opinion it's more trouble than its worth.

SOURCE: 2003 fxsts seized front wheel axle

there's no real easy way out if your axle is seized in there. You need to fiind a really big hammer, brace your front end up against some thing, and give the axle a good whack until it comes out. Unscrew the nut so its level with the axle. You just gunna have to keep wacking until it comes out. Try spraying some penitrating oil and letting it soak. It will come out, eventualy. The worst thing that can happen is you will need to buy a new front axle. Remember to grease it when you put it back. Also make sure any axle clamps are loose.

Removing rear wheels

you dont need to remove tires from bike, turn bike on one side so back tire is flat to ground, this give you the other tire in air for easier access. Use a tire removal kit to take off tire there relatively cheap, try walmart, they usually have the tires and the removal kits too...

Where do I find the wheel kit assembly instructions - I cannot find them in any of the books

You have an axle, some washers, the wheel/tire assembly and a cap for the axle. Slide the axle through the frame and out the other side. place a washer on each end and the place the tire/wheel on each end of the axle. Put a washer on each end of the axle and then hammer the cap on the end of the axle to secure the wheel in place.

Need diagram for removing rear wheel to fix puncture on power ped

you can easily fix a flat without removing the wheel from the bike if it uses a tube application to inflate racers use this method to save time as you just have limited space to do your repair apposed to removing the wheel completely dunno just a thought because im thinking your bike has wheel tensioner jigs on the rear axle and they can be tricky to get rite if your unaware of how they work and you could do more damage then good so try to slip the tire off one side pull the tube out and mend your flat and dont forget to check the interior of the rubber for burrs of foreign material less then a 10 minute job good luck message back if your stuck ok :)

What are the largest tires (width) that I can put on my 03 FXST (both rear and front) without doing any modifications. Thanks!

Standard tires are already oversized in 03 model. This are the maximum standard allowed, probably the same as what you already have:
Front - D402F MH90-21 54H
Rear - D401 150/80B16 71H
(front: 80/90 - rear :150/80-it was 130 in 02 model)

Without modification you cannot use any bigger tire. By changing wheel, belt and pulley, you can mount at rear up to 200 at rear (see job done on the 06 softail here).

At front you need to replace wheel and to move the fender. The result is not always great when you do modification to front wheel. The best thing to do is buying a spacer kit.

I have an old schwinn varsity. I went to change the rear tire, and turned out the rear axle bolt is stripped and I can't put wheel back on. Where can I find a replacement axle bolt?

you need a new axle kit, and a cog removal tool. They used to be a Huret dearailleur if I remember right. I know a varsity never had Shimano. I think you may be better off buying a new rear wheel (it is usually less money than having to rebuild the axle) and let the bike shop do the change over, it is well worth it. You wont have to deal with the brakes, check the cones etc. Why did you have the Meridian adult trike on, and you have an old 10 speed Varsity? Kind of confusing.
