After market indicators were fitted. The front lenses only had 5 watt bulbs fitted causing the problem. Upgrading to 21 watt bulbs fixed the problem.

first try some Seafoam carb cleaner from Autozone 1/3 can to two gallons fuel. drive it around for about 10 miles see if it cleans up the carbs. if thats not it then i'd look into plugs and wires if seated properly, could also be fouled plugs.

Misses and sputters at certain throttle position

This sounds like the same problem I had with my 87 Jeep 2 door Cherokee Sport.
Thought I had to replace the Fuel pump yet when I went under and pulled it out of the side of the tank I found that one of it's vacuum or return line had fallen/poped off. After I pushed the rubber tube line back on it's metal tube and pushed and remounted the pump back in the tank. Started up and it never ran better at any speed. Yea!!!!!

Bad miss under acceleration

Maybe your last fill up brought you some water with the fuel. Try some gas guard or similar in the fuel tank that picks up water into alcohol and carries it through to the engine and burns it.

BIKE DOES NOT REV AT ALL

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Two possible reasons:
  • faulty throttle cable. There should be a spring like feel when throttling/revving the bike. If none, then either the cable is broken or the lock has been dislodged from its hooking point between the carbs;
  • vacuum leak. Another indication of a vacuum leak is relatively high idling RPM even when the choke is in normal position. Vacuum leaks could be caused by a cracked rubber connector from the carbs to the intake port, a loose/crack vacuum line or missing carb balancer rubber cap/cross-over.
Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
