What do you mean? Harley does not allow their parts microfiche online, if you need to see a drawing your best bet is a Clymers or Haynes manual.

If the axle is bolted tight and adjusters are solid I would check the wheel spokes. Loose spokes can make for a really squirrely ride.I assume your bike has spokes as opposed to solid wheels.

2011 XR1200X seat removal

XR 1200X

SEAT REMOVAL:

FIRST reach under the front end of the tail section and press the two seat tabs inward, then pull the front of the seat upward to disengage it from the front of the tail section and pull the seat forward over the fuel tank. Then inspect the seat and mounting bracket on the seat and ensure that the bracket is securely attached to the bottom of the seat as the rivets can come loose. Also take this opportunity to ensure that the passenger strap is in good and serviceable condition.

SEAT INSTALLATION:

FIRST orient the rear of the seat into the tail section making sure that the guides are lined up properly with the two seat posts. THEN push down on the front of the seat until the two tabs engage the front end of tail section and THEN pull the seat upward to ensure that it is properly locked into position.

If you need to remove the passenger seat pillion on an XR1220X just lift the rear of the pillion to disengage the seat post from the grommet and pull the pillion out from the motorcycle tail section. THEN if you need to re-install the seat pillion insert it into place with both of its tabs aligned with the trunk slots, push down fairly hard on the rear of the pillion until it and the grommet are fully engaged with each other.

My soft tail rides really stiff on rough roads. What can I do to soften the ride. Seems like the front forks are stiff. Just had shocks serviced.

As far as the rear suspension, a softtail won't ride a smooth as one with a swingarm, as the softtail has less travel.

On the front end, Harley has three different "thicknesses" of fork oil, light, medium, and heavy, which gives different suspension dampening.

If the front forks are too stiff, you could try a lighter fork oil.

Front end front end wobble with hands off on 2oo4 soft tail

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Improperly loaded motorcycle. Non-standard equipment on the front end such as heavy radio receivers extra lighting equipment or luggage tends to cause unstable handling.
2. Incorrect air suspension pressure.
3. Damaged tires or improper front-rear tire combination.
4. Irregular or peaked front tire tread wear.
5. Incorrect tire pressure.
6. The shock absorber is not functioning normally.
7. Loose wheel axle nuts. Torque to recommended specifications.
8. Excessive wheel hub bearing end play.
9. Improperly vehicle alignment.
10. Steering head bearings improperly adjusted.
11. Tire and wheel unbalanced.
12. Rims and tires are out-of-round or eccentric with the hub.
13. Rims and tires are out-of-true sideways.
14. Shock absorber improperly adjusted.
15. Worn engine stabilizer links.
16. Damaged rear engine isolation mounts.
17. Swing arm pivot shaft improperly tightened or assembled.

I want to lift up the bike's tail ,is there something i need to know befor i do it ?. some one told me once that the fzr rear end is not something you want to deal with.

Unless you are going to race the bike, you really dont need to raise the tail. I would just go with larger rear tire. I have a 190/50 on mine rides great.

I just received a Harley 02 soft tail Duce How do I remove the seat, strap is bolted to fener??

Take the bolt out of the rear of the seat. Slightly lift the rear end of the seat and pull it backwards. Work the seat backwards out of the strap. You may have to take the sissy bar off to do this. The seat comes out of strap that goes over it.

Ride Safe

How much slack should the belt have on a 06 soft tail

Using the built in guage on the belt guard, (between the rear tire and the primary), adjust tensioners until the belt moves 5/16" to 3/8" with ten pounds of upward pressure and the rider sitting on the bike. Make sure to tighten the adjusters evenly as you go keeping the belt centered on the sprocket as the wheel is rotated in a forward direction.
