1986 yamaha 350 ypvs F2 should the wheels be red if so what is the RAL number

The site below (although European based) has all the colour reference codes applicable. Yamaha are a parts bin manufacturer, in that they cobble necessary parts from different models and sometimes share a range of colours across a model, particularly fashion type schemes.
The second link is bikepics, make a consensus from all the models shown for your bike.
Cheers.

hi,from memory these were the first of yamahas ypvs system, check that the power valves are working, also check that the battery is in good condition,as the cdi unit needs at least 12.5v to advance and ****** the ignition timing,if the battery is low,the bike will idle ok,but when you give it throttle the ignition will not advance and lift the rpm..hope this helps..cheers

I'm interested in purchasing a repair manual for my 1989 rd 350 yamaha motorcycle. Is there an auto store, or any kind of store I can buy it from? Instead of buying it online. I'd really appreciate any...

first off what country are you in ???? the 1979 rd 350 was an air cooled engine, same as 250 . the 1989 engine was water cooled with yamahas ypvs exhaust valve both very differnt in design although some frame and body parts cross over.the manual for the air cooled is: isbn 0 85696 505 7 . i dont have the water cooled number but could find it you require. the rd was exported under various different names ie: rd , rz , ypvs and so on. you can contact me @ marcusloud@blueyonder.co.uk. hope this helps.

Use the factory " YAMALUBE " oil. Engine oil is not a big deal but you can't go wrong if you stick to factory products.

How to get the baffles out off exhauts as it will not move with the bolt removed.

Not much help mate but I'm assuming they are pretty well rusted in and REALLY stuck. (I had a similar problem on a 1976 RD 400).

Basically I had to use a hammer and chisel, WD40, Mole Grips and lots of hard work, then buy replacement baffles.

Good luck mate.
